Farewell to a True Pioneer

   On a sad note, this past weekend "AcademyBruce" of Academy videos passed on after a long and painful battle with cancer.

   He was an excellent and honest producer of erotic wrestling for two decades, a pioneer of the XXX wrestling genre, and a man with a true passion for this "thing" we all enjoy.   

   Most of all, he was a good man who will be missed by his many fans and friends, both in the industry and in "real life".

What awful news.  I can still remember the first Academy video that interested me - ACA 154 Shayna vs. Dani.  On reading Bruce's description, I had the reaction that people get from a great song, that this guy knows exactly what I'm thinking and expresses it better than I can.  That one and some of his other titles come closest of any vidco to the combination of aggression and affection contained in my own fantasy: that of two beautiful women wrestling competitively, but each never forgetting that she's wrestling a beautiful woman.  Bruce's best work could have been custom produced just for me.  Uncanny.      

R.I.P. Bruce.  Deepest condolences to his family and friends.

   Well he will truly be missed. He took an idea an made it work. Gave his fans many memorable videos, which his girls were amazing in. Thanks bruce for what you did and gave to us. May you suffer no more.

  JohnMoogs comments hit the nail right on the head. For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by female combat, but until I discovered Bruce's site, I didn't really understand WHY. Only real art is supposed to be able to tell a person things about THEMSELVES that they didn't already know. Draw your own conclusions.

My goodness.   This is horrible news.   I had no idea of this until reading this post and haven't heard a peep from anyone.

Very sorry to hear this news. Bruce was always provided great insight and feedback on this board. Rest in Peace, Bruce.

My condolences to Bruce's family and friends.  He's done a lot for those of us with interest in female fighting.
