I see Poser 9 is now available. Don't know whether to upgrade or not. I suspect most of the new features will be wasted on my simplistic primitive pics.

This version of poser is useless for us . (There is not huge improvements since poser 7 ).
IMHO, a new version of Victoria is more important.

Agree with you about Victoria. Since the last new Victoria, there have been two new editions of Poser. Victoria 4 is incredible though, compared to the old days of Poser 3 and 4 nude women figures. Even Victoria 1 was an improvement over them. I still use Vitoria 2 every once in a while

Hi, thanks for this thread. I have poser 6, what makes poser 7 or 8 better?

The biggest improvements in the newer version of Poser is lighting and improved resource management for rendering. Rigging lights are still a pain in the ass, but the new features do make for more realistic lighting possibilities. I haven't read into 9. The next upgrade I make will likely be some version of PoserPro.

The included figures aren't too bad either. Jessi and Sydney kind of get forgotten, but you can achieve some real nice renders with those figures. I still prefer Victoria 4, but it's kind of nice to throw those other ones in renders with multiple figures sometimes.
