Rematches

Rematches only work if the first match was close in the first place. There has been a good example today where the rematch was pointless and even more of a walkover than the first fight they had. Pointless.

I think I know which fight you are referring to, Archie, and I have to say that I disagree with your opinion about it.

Personally, I find rematches where the winner of the first fight proves that her victory was no fluke by trouncing her rival again, even more emphatically than before, quite exciting to watch.

The Viktoria-Kassidy saga at Wrestling Monica and APL is a good example of what works and doesn't work.  The original match wasn't close and the first rematch was even less so.  I liked that rematch because it reinforced the domination of someone considered a formidable athlete, and at one point poor Vicky walked off in tears.  I didn't like either of the subsequent rematches I've seen, which were evidently demanded by Kassidy's fans.  To me, since Vicky had no chance, it became a bit too obvious that she was doing it only for the money, which actually undercut the humiliation and the fantasy in general.

either way kassidy fimished off viktoria in pretty good style and left her and everyone else who was the better woman. it could not have done viktorias reputation any good, especially as she broke down in tears and did not want to fight.
