I guess I've been ignoring this long enough, but this is a fight I've been debating about whether or not to mention because out of all my amateur bouts, this one or at least with this girl have been the dirtiest and ended up being one of the most unusual for me.
This was actually my first championship bout, a shot being recognized as one of the best amateurs in my county. Unfortunately, that meant fighting one of the dirtiest fighters who had the title for the longest for whatever reason. The girls name was Jamie and she had a record of fighting dirty intentionally, as well as rumored to have slept with some of the judges and refs for her fights to secure a win. No joke either! She could get pounded out in the ring, but if she wasn't knocked out she'd get the decision.
I'll never forget our first fight. I was nervous like crazy, simply because this was a championship bout and because I was fighting one of the dirtiest boxers in the county! I was sporting a black sports bra and matching trunks with silver lining, while she was had on a powder pink sports bra and matching trunks with baby blue lining. From the moment we touched gloves, I had feeling she'd give me trouble but I never figured hell!
What was scheduled for 10rnds ended up being five rounds of her holding, pushing, and hitting me below the belt! 1st round we tested each other out, 2nd round I gave her trouble and then after that is was like all pistons running on foul for her! I remember coming out of my corner ready, except for low right hand to my crotch! I was completely stunned at the act and the fact it was so obvious and the ref was ignoring made me furious, next thing I new uppercut to my chin and then she decided to box me proper for the rest of the round! 4th round, I'll admit she had me shaken but I felt ready...till her opening move wasn't a punch but a shove into the ropes, catching me off balance and leaving me almost helpless to an onslaught to my body, face, and chest. 5th round...well it was all I could take. Didn't know what to expect, would it be a low blow or a shove? Nope, she was boxing me proper...so far. Got in a few good shots, good see her getting red in the face, sweating hard, breathing heavily and then BAM! Low blow. My eyes widened in shock as I felt the hard leather glove impact against my soft crotch. Before I had time to collect myself she placed her arm around me holding me and then repeatedly hooked my trunks! I began crying in pain, pleading for her to stop but she smiled looked at me and said "Ok"...then punched my breasts! I remember screaming for the ref who looked like he didn't give a rats ass as to what was happening to me. Jamie then went back in the final minute to my trunks, just repeatedly punching down there and before I long I dropped to my gloves and knees crying in pain, one glove covering my throbbing crotch before spitting out of my mouthpiece and blubbering no more.
The ref announced Jamie the winner by TKO5 and the girl had the nerve to approach my corner, hugging me and saying "No hard feelings" before tapping my trunks lightly leaving me to sob in my corner.
That wasn't my only fight with her either, I had 2 more. Our second fight I did a lot better, but still lost. She basically shoved me right out of the ring and I lost because I was unable to get back in after 20sec! The 3rd time...well, I'll save that for another time.
