 Hi Guys/Gals , As promised awhile back,to those who asked me,i got some info about a "underground" club that has catfights, nhb....i was invited to attend,and possibly fight too. The only thing is when this Girl told me where the club was, and how to get there...well, i have second thoughts now, for the time being  . It's in Brownsville, Queens-Brooklyn i think....it just sounded so eerie, to get there, and how to find it, idk....is anyone familiar with N.Y. ? The only thing i had a interest in was the prize $$$, the Girl told me it's great...if you win! Thanks to anyone who can help me out here,and maybe...just maybe i'll consider doing this  xoxoxoxo joanne (Thanks again to all who supported me,backed me, and never doubted me, MUAHHHH! )

Hi, Brownsville is a rough section of Brooklyn New York. I would suggest that if you go there, go with companionship and not alone. Be safe. Good luck.

...Queens may not mean shit to her. ;-) I'd still take Royales' advice and travel with some backup...and by back up I don't mean one of the Jonas Brothers or Justin Bieber (if you get my drift ;-). Great detective work on locating the FvsF fight location. Good Luck IRL.

I have a friend that fights almost every weekend at a private place in NYC. I will see if she fights goes to the place you mentioned....but yes...that part of Queens is not the best section...you clearly dont want to be walking thru there with a map in your hands...lol.
Oh...she tells me that while the winner gets a lot of money....the loser is sold to the highest bidder for whatever "fun" they want to have....just thought I would pass that along...

why go to the extreme joanne ,weres its unsafe get a hold of blake at carolina catfights or greg at leather and lace they contacted me and they offer prize money but am to busy and its to far for me or if yer out west bob at california wild cats no seedy clubs in queens i never do that !!!!!

Hey, I almost moved to Queens years ago, when you could still get super-cheap houses on the boardwalk at Rockaway Beach. The Ramones did a killer song about Rockaway Beach -- known as Rockapulco to the locals -- so you know it has to be a cool place. Queens is a borough that encompasses a huge area, including many cities such as Flushing and Astoria. Most of it is not dangerous. But yes, joanne, be careful in Brownsville, which is actually a neighborhood in Brooklyn, not Queens, if I'm not mistaken. You can check Brownsville on Wikipedia. After looking at the info, my advice is this -- don't even think about going there. The place is loaded with public housing projects. I mean seriously. Don't go. Fugeddaboutit!  |

Actually, Royals is from New York, and he had it right before anyone else. Me, I have family there. And I'd move to Queens in a heartbeat. Rockaway Beach is calling. I'd be a bit nervous about being in JFK's flight path. So . . . maybe Atlantic Beach. But not Brownsville. No way. |

I have lived and worked in New York City for all of my 48 years. There are great parts of this city and there are dangerous parts. I have worked in Brownsville a section in BROOKLYN NY, not QUEENS. It has many housing projects, and gangs like THE BLOODS and others, as well as drug problems and auto theft issues. As a white person you stay away from there at night. During the day, it is fine, many good hard working people trying to get by, but they know the deal. As for QUEENS, many great areas there, I lived in BAYSIDE QUEENS for 4 years, fantastic area, I lived in Forest Hills Queens for 5 years, also an excellent area. You stay away from areas like JAMAICA QUEENS at night. I have lived in the BRONX NEW YORK, and in MANHATTAN too. I know NEW YORK CITY very, very well. I am now in LONG ISLAND NY, just outside the city. If you want to know anything about this city, any area, I have been there, lived there or worked there, just ask!

WOW....Well thanks again for all the tips!..... I will definately think this over,and have company with me should i go to this "club".... And if i need help,i will ask you Mr. Royals, thank you! I've done video work already Ashley,thanks...a long time ago,lol..when i was 18 ...those days are done for me, lol. KC...i'm sure my friend has a couple of glocks, lol if he comes with me that is.... Joanne...as much as I love to see you fight IRL...please, please...think this one over very carefully before you would decide to go. The fighting might be hot as hell...but this place doesnt sound to be in all too great of an area. Keep me informed about your thinking on this !!! You know that you mean heworld to e, and I dont want anything to happen to you babe !!

Oh, the Brownsville fight club has been around for at least a couple of years. I believe Maxim did a story on it a while back. And it is indeed in the projects, so I'd probably steer clear, but that's just me. If you're really looking for that kind of fight in the NY vicinity, I'd be willing to put up some prize money and help arrange something.
