Sanna Nielsen, Swedish pop singer who knows how to entertain the crowds with her mostly upbeat tunes, has not made a secret of her high opinion of herself - in fact, she loves to tell live audiences she's
'...probably the best [they] could have got tonight...'.
Not having said enough yet, she even mentioned famous female pop singers of whom she thinks they hardly deserve the attention they get.
One of those she has recently targeted is
Katy Perry.
Asked if she believes herself to be a better singer than Katy she informed the presenter at a local radio station without reserve:
'...I'm sure in a singing contest I'd sing her into oblivion. The girl wouldn't have a chance - how would she compete with my voice??...'Katy has heard of Sanna's derisive talk, and is not amused.
She challenges Sanna to a singing contest, and Sanna not only accepts this but even announces that she also wants to have a kickboxing fight with Katy.
Katy states that she has not the smallest reason to be intimidated by Sanna and tells the press that she will fight her in a ring
'...in order to put that bitch in her place and for her to learn a lesson she needs to be taught...'.
