Veronica LakeAlthough the assembled spectators had anticipated that this would be a close-fought contest, no one was prepared for just how evenly matched the two combatants are. Neither Hedy nor Veronica could seem to hold the advantage over the other for more than a minute or so, as control of the fight see-sawed wildly. The struggle drove both beauties to the brink of utter exhaustion, until it was all they could do to command their bodies to continue warring.
Inevitably, an end to this raucous tableau had to come. Both women, physically spent yet still driven by their fiery wills, faced one another on their knees. Each then wrapped her hands around the alabaster throat of the other, battling in this most primitive of manners, all semblance of civility vanished. Lake and Lamarr gasped and gurgled as each strangled the other, their glazed eyes rolling beneath heavy lids, their sweat-soaked bodies trembling. It was now a race to determine not who was the greater fighter, but rather who simply had the most endurance left within her.
Suddenly, one beauty went limp, her hands falling free of her rival's neck. Hedy's eyes fluttered shut and her body collapsed to the floor like a puppet whose strings had been cut. Veronica fell atop her chest, barely clinging to consciousness herself. But with the blonde, however inadvertently, pinning the slumbering brunette, Veronica was declared the winner.
