12. Shell Jubin  5  v. Nicole  9

Setting up a poll is easy. There is a button next to the "New Topic" button called "Create New Poll" . You click on this and then just fill in the blanks. There are some options but I think they are self-explnatory.

Pictures are a little more involved. If no one answers I will answer when I have time. Can't right now.

Regarding images the first thing you know is you have to have the images hosted somewhere so the URL is available. As far as I know this site does not have that feature so you have to have either your own website or some site that allows to upload and share photos. I have used imageshack but am getting dissatisfied with them. There are other services and I think you can even use yahoo groups or myspace.

To post an image you you click on the image icon {alt}. This gives you the characters [ img] [/img]. (Note I have added extra space after "img" so the  shows [ img] [/img]up. You then place the URL of the image in between. Alternatively you can Alternatively you can enter the URL, highlight it and then click on the {alt} icon. As an example I put the icon in this text by using

If you want to get fancier and post a picture (often an 'thmbanil') that serves as a link to another picture (or video or what erver) you  can use the following as an example: [ URL=http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/884/001kimmovakdu4.jpg][ IMG]http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/2106/001ickimmovakkn5.jpg[/img] (Extra space added by me fore URL and IMG in [ URL and [ IMG)  The final picture, video, or whatever URL goes after the "URL=" and the "thumbnail" URL goes after the.   This gives {alt}

Now if you really wanted to get fancy and make sure two pictures end up side you side you make a table. Therir are icons for creating the table {alt}, creating a row {alt} and creating a column {alt}. I alos like to center things using {alt}. As an example I give you

[ center][ table]
[ tr][ td][ center][ b][ size=12pt][ color=Black]Bettie Page

[ td][ center][ b][ color=#9933ff]Kim Novak

[ tr][ td][ URL=http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/4403/001bettiepagegi3.jpg][ IMG]http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/4187/001icbettiepagess1.jpg[/img]

[ td][ URL=http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/884/001kimmovakdu4.jpg][ IMG]http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/2106/001ickimmovakkn5.jpg[/img]

Which gives
Bettie Page
Kim Novak
{alt}{alt}

This is probably all very confusing but if you experiment with tables you can probably figure it out.
Have fun and don't get frustrated if your first few attempts don't work.
