Alyson Hannlgan
Thora BirchHaving left the celeb fight game at the peak of her career, Birch could look back with pride on a collection of impressive victories. Still, retirement gnawed at her, for it bothered her that her feud with Alyson had been left inconclusive; indeed, in their last encounter before Thora's decision to quit fighting, the redhead had actually managed to win the match. Finally, after seven years away from the sport, the raven-haired beauty returned with one intent: to challenge Hannlgan one last time, and to determine which woman is superior.
For her part, Aly readily accepted. She had long believed that Birch had quit fighting to avoid a rematch with her. And now, having entered semi-retirement herself, the redhead is eager to settle the issue once and for all.
The brawl that ensued amply proved that time had dimmed neither their skills nor their fury. Long past the point when most other women would have either submitted, or else simply no longer been able to wage the war, Alyson and Thora battled on. Yet with neither able to hold the advantage over the other for long, it was impossible to say that one was fighting better than her rival.
Ultimately, inevitably, one woman managed to gain the upper hand. Sitting atop Alyson, Thora rained down fists to her face, head and chest, reminding all of why she had once to aptly been dubbed "The Hammer". Hannlgan gasped and groaned beneath the onslaught, until finally her glazed eyes rolled up in their sockets and her body went limp. She was battered to the cusp of unconsciousness.
For a long heartbeat, Birch was elated...and then reality set in. She remembered that the only way to win this fight was by submission; ironically, it was the brunette herself who had demanded that stipulation, as she was giddy with anticipation of making the hated redhead beg for mercy. But to knock Aly out now would only result in a draw, as the match would be called. Unwilling to accept that, although unofficially all would recognize that Thora had beaten Alyson, Birch began slapping at her opponent's face. "Wake up!" she rasped.
After several more moments, Alyson's eyes fluttered open, her remarkable stamina pulling her from the inky abyss. Moaning, she seems confused at first as to her surroundings, and she offers no resistance as Birch climbs off of her, stands up and then grabs the redhead to pull her up as well, intent on subjecting her to a submission hold that will force Hannlgan to give up.
However, in an instant life suddenly flashes in Aly's eyes and power courses through her sinews, and she lashes out with a finger thrust to the throat. Birch gurgles and coughs as she staggers backward, hands clutching her throat, and the redhead springs up to her feet. Within moments, she slips behind her rival, entwines her limbs with Thora's, and locks the brunette in an abdominal stretch.
Their sweat-soaked bodies strain, teeth gritted as Birch struggles to withstand the pain and escape, and Hannlgan struggles to keep the hold locked on. The agony is apparent on Thora's face, but when the redhead hisses,
"Give up, you f#cking bltch!", the brunette defiantly screams,
"NEVER! F#CK YOU!!!"But defiance aside, while the magnificent spirit may still be willing, the flesh's weakness cannot be shirked. By the third minute of the excruciating hold, Thora's trembling body can withstand it no longer, and she starts to tap furiously with her hand. But Alyson will have none of it. "Say it!" she commands, and after several heartbeats, Birch shrieks,
"Okay! Enough! I...I give up!"Yet still, Aly will not release the hold.
"We're not done yet, cupcake. Admit I'm your superior!" The brunette bites her lower lip, tears rolling down her face, but finally she concedes,
"You're better than me! Okay? Now let go!"And with that, the redhead releases her hold. Thora's knees dip, but she manages to halt herself from collapsing to the floor. Strutting around to face her foe, Alyson smugly stands there with hands on hips as the tearful brunette sways on unsteady legs, glaring at her. Then without warning, Hannlgan balls her fists and lands a right cross to Birch's jaw, followed by a left hook, and culminating in a right uppercut that lifts Thora up off of her feet and sends her crashing to the floor, unconscious.
"From now on," the redhead says with a sneer, "it's Aly 'The Hammer' Hannlgan!"
