The two other Planets where she starred were filmed in the 70s and I guess she shouldn't be considered "too old" by the 1970s standards

She only did one other "... apes", the second one (right on the nose, in 1970) unless you're also counting her very short cameo in the 2001 remake.

Other than that, she'd mainly known for "Way, Way Out" with Jerry Lewis and a couple of "Batman" episodes, all of which came out in 1966.

Well, that would make her more 60s then 70s, but since she's been ommitted in the 60s poll we might gve her a try, shall we?   ???  ;)

Nonetherless several candidates have been proposed, but the entry list is still wide open.

More from 70s
Suzy Kendall (1 January 1944), Olivia Newton-John (26 September 1948), Deborah "Debbie" Harry (1 July 1945)

You should includ the "Facts-of Life" girls. Kim Feilds and Her huge boobies would be great to see in a fight. She would likely loose though.

As much as i like Kim Fields she seems a little young for this crowd. A suggestion that for the 70's use birthdays from 1940 to 1955 and for the 80's birthdays from 1950 to 1965. To add to the list of many beauties for the contest add Adrienne Barbeau, Barbie Benton, Karen Austen, Kirstie Alley, Victoria Jackson, Janet Jackson.

If you are going to include Kim Fields from The Facts of Life then I think there are three costars who are more appropriate. Kim was younger than her costars:

Kim Fields  12-May-69 Played Dorothy 'Tootie' Ramsey
Lisa Whelchel 29-May-63 Played Blair Warner
Nancy McKeon 4-Apr-66 Played Joanne 'Jo' Polniaczek
Mindy Cohn 20 May 1956 Played Natalie Green

Out of these Nancy McKeon played the dark haired tough streetwise girl who was easy to imagine in a fight. She was also easy on the eyes in my opinion.

Lisa Whelchel played the blonde rich spoiled girl. Less likely to want to fight. But she was on the heavier side (you might call her zoftig) and might have given Nancy a good battle. I always wanted these these two get in a catfight. Not sure if they ever did but I sort of recall  'Jo' punching 'Blair'. I think the producers portrayed Lisa (Blair) as the sexy one but I always though Nancy was sexier.  The Facts of Life aired 1979-1988 so that makes the actresses part of the 1980s. But Kim was only 10 when it started and 10 when it ended in 1988.

Mindy Cohn's character was quite overweight and short. We all have our tastes but it is hard for me to imagine her as a sex symbol.

Lisa makes djcrash's suggested birthday limits for the 80s and Nancy and Mindy are just one year away. Kim is a stretch at being born in 1969 - at least in my opinion.

Maybe a battle royal or a round robin tournament of the Facts of Life girls would be better. Then you could include Charlotte Rae (born 22 April 1926)who played Edna Garret to make it a foursome and for some old vs young fights if that is your style.

The DOB criteria seems like a good idea allthough i.e. for Kim Basinger it makes more sense putting her in 80s rather the 70s. I think that stretching it for a year or two is possible if a person gained some attention already (if you make 1965 the cut then 24 years of age in 1989 would be the actual mark, so if somebody shoot up in her teens or early 20s then it would be OK IMHO). Haven't heard about Facts of Life before tbh, but i.e. Nancy McKeon certainly looks like one for the showdown here.

I don't really want to double up on women who already appeared in the 60s poll in particular unless there will be a shortage of other candidates.

Also if anyone is aware of some lesser-known models, TV stars, or program hosts from that era it would be nice to bring them up (especially from 70s).

Just some general comments about my lists. I don't envy you the task of having to choose a limited number of contestants from those already provided and probably more to come.

One suggestion is that some women in my lists are known primarily as models or supermodels. These might be left better to another tournament of models. There are some cases where the models became well known as actresses or entertainers and they should be OK.

There are also a few athletes, namely Jan Stephenson (Australian Golfer), Laura Baugh (American golfer) and Katarina Witt (German figure skater). Both Jan and Laura were known for their beauty and Jan actually won quite a few tournaments while Laura was a junior champion but never won on the LPGA tour. Katarina was also known for her beauty and she will probably bring to mind out skaters who could be included. Again, there could be a separate sports tournament as I can think of several tennis players who were both good athletes and very sexy.

Glamour fights, please make sure you include Heather Thomas and Catherine Bach (surely both must be included.) And pleased to see you've mentioned Janet Gunn (who I only recall from the Dark Justice TV series, and two films.) Also glad to see you've mentioned Tracy Scoggins. Another for, you to think of is the South African born, British Actress Glynis Barber, born 1955. (She starred in 80's British Police Action series Dempsey and Makepeace.)

The nice thing for me is that Vasago has graciously volunteered to do the 70s and 80s sex symbol tournaments. So I can enjoy sitting back and recommending candidates without having to select them. I can easily see lots of great very sexy fighters who could win it plus many more with a less likely chance of winning but are great to imagine in catfights. I knew Janet Gunn from Silk Stockings when she replaced Mitzi Kapture. A fight between her and Mitzi might be interesting. I used a list I found that someone had complied on famous women. I thought it was pretty complete but found out that it didn't have some women I should have included in the 1950s and 1969s tournament or at least as candidates. I had forgotten about Tracy Scoggins and she popped out of the list. I think she was very sexy and a good candidate to win it all. I saw her on The Battle of the Network Stars. I don't recall how she did overall but I remember a three against three football game where she showed quite a attitude and roughed up the woman she was guarding and was even given a penalty. She looked like she not only could fight but would enjoy mixing it up and being the attacker.

I came across another surprise in looking for photos. Debra Jo Fondren was a Playmate (Sept. 1877) and Playmate of the Year in 1978. She set the record for the longest hair of any Playmate. Here are some photos to jog your memory:

It turns out she also became a wrestler. So she would be a candidate for either the 60s or the 80s tournament. She probably wouldn't do well being 5'4" 114 obs 35B/C-24-36 and being born on 5 February 1955. But I'll bet the other women would love yanking on and pulling her around by the long blonde hair. Maybe even tie her up by it. One other thing I think they would (and we) would like is illustrated by the photo below:
The hair on her head was not the only long blonde hair. Although not thick, her bush consisted of fine blonde hair that was quite long. Her opponents could easily wrap it around their fingers and inflict quite a bit of pain while ripping it out.  Might even be possible to drag her around by her cxnt hairs although they look like they might break easily.

I don’t know how well she did in her wrestling career, but her she is being tortured by Stacy Burke and by Francesca Le.
{alt}
{alt}

There were some Penthouse Pets and even a Penthouse Pet of the Year or two who did some wrestling. Anyone know of any or anymore Playmates that wrestled. I will do some research and maybe have a few individual fights of Pets and Playmates who have wrestled.
