                                                         “It Takes Two Thieves”
                                               Chapter 1, Part 1 – “After Paris”

Damn!  Michelle thought. I’m still too fucking slow! I'm pausing too long to consider my attacks, instead of shifting fluidly from one strike to the next, instinctively deciding.  WHERE ARE MY INSTINCTS?  I KNOW BETTER!  I'm a black belt for God's sake!

She knew why, of course.  Her mind was stuck too much on Harper, her frequent sparring partner and very close friend, among... other things.  She really wasn't in the mood for training. Michelle sighed, and allowed her self to relax a moment.  Immediately the visions of Harper became clear and vivid in her mind. The sensual, yet powerful elegance of her fighting style, the beautiful riskiness of her unpredictable spinning kicks and attacks...The constantly shifting, bobbing, weaving of her athletic torso, her chest and back streaked with perspiration, her dark eyes so intense and focused. the long dark pony tail swishing and flying!  That volatile yet confidant and ready stance, her legs spread perfectly apart (and I don't mean just for her fighting stance either!)  the shifting of her weight from one foot to the other so smoothly, causing her pert upturned breasts to lightly jiggle -- to bounce alluringly, erotically... The beauty and elegance of her glistening body…the finesse of Harper's techniques -- and not just her fighting ones.  She was my mirror; she was my muse.

Michelle stood; her arms wrapped around the heavy bag, gasping for a breath, her black sports bra-clad breasts pressed tightly to the wet leather, her chest heaving against the soaking wet spandex.  She felt the tingle and the aching deep between her thighs as she rubbed her black compression shorts clad-crotch firmly against the heavy bag.  She couldn’t stop now, she just had to cum, had to release!  She clutched the bag tight with her long arms as she thrust and ground her spasming, throbbing sex against it.  Her fingertips digging into the soft leather as she clutched the bag tightly, her wet soft cheek trying to slide across the moist, slick leather!  Her moans growing louder as she pressed her dry parched lips to the bag to muffle her screams!  The sensations were building in her so fast she clutched the wet slick bag with all her strength, her knees trying to buckle, the pressure inside of her, the kaleidoscope of sensations flowing from her clit, tingles and jolts shooting from her loins as her orgasm hit her like a tidal wave coming ashore!

Michelle held onto the bag for what seemed to her like an eternity as she slowly began to her breath and relax a little, her pounding heart slowing.  Then she felt something begin to gently press against her back and ass, and something warm and moist against slide over her cheek, then her earlobe.  She'd know that tongue anywhere! Then she heard that voice.

“Having fun Chelley?”

“Looks like you missed me”

Harper’s seductive voice caused Michelle's heart to begin to race again she wrapped her arms around Michelle’s wet glistening torso and squeezed her bare breasts against her lover’s wet slick back.  She wriggled her heaving chest against Michelle’s skin and whispered in her ear,

“I’m here now so you don’t need that damn bag anymore do you?”
“Wanna go a few rounds?”

Michelle whispered back,

"I think 20 or 30 would be a good start?"

FADE TO MORNING

Michelle loved what she did and was an expert in her field.  Her passion for removing jewelry, art work and other rare items from high class high rise condos and apartments in the wealthiest areas of the world, from Dubai to New York, yielded her a large fortune, an extravagant lifestyle and a spot on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List.

The FBI’s code name for her was “Catwoman”, a moniker she detested with a passion.

“I hate being compared with a fucking comic book character!”

“Not that I don’t like comic books but puhleeeze!  “CATWOMAN?”

Of course, it maybe didn’t help that when she “worked”, her 5’ 9-3/4” 140 pound curvaceous, athletic body was clad in a skin-tight black bodysuit that left very little to the imagination. Her hands and feet were protected by leather gloves and special leather boots.  The few times she had been seen the “Catwoman” description seemed to be the first words from people’s mouths.

She hated being called a supervillianess and being associated with “Batman”.  She said it was just another way men put “us” all in neat little boxes or compartments.  As she put it:

“I felt that women were feline creatures and men were more like dogs. While dogs are faithful and friendly, cats are cool, detached, and unreliable, at least to men.  Cats are as hard to understand as women are. Men feel more sure of themselves with a male friend than a woman. I love it like that.  A man always feels the need to keep a women at arm's length and that for me is the key.  A man doesn’t want anyone taking over his soul, and a woman has a habit of doing that. So there's a love-resentment thing with a woman that mystifies a man.  It gives me an advantage as it still is a “man’s world”.  But I will never allow a man to get the upper hand over me.  Besides, its not hard as men are so fucking predictable!”

Michelle was one of the few “burglars” talented enough to work the newer more “secure” high-rise residences as she had mastered the art of picking even the most difficult of locks, all the way from antique mechanical to the most ironclad of security systems and electronic surveillance.  Her specialty was “cracking” electronic surveillance and she had a very detailed knowledge of encryption techniques and procedures.  She had been able to put that knowledge to some very profitable use in the last five years, as the FBI will attest.

She had been tormenting law enforcement officials for nearly a decade and had made fools of everyone from the FBI to INTERPOL to the NYPD.  It was if she could “walk through walls” to bring her schemes to fruition.

The French authorities called her “Le Houdini de Voleurs de Bijoux”

Later on, at Michelle’s Central Park West apartment, plans are being made.  On the desk in Michelle’s office lay the plans and blueprints for several buildings in New York.  The first of which was the layout of the Marc Building in the Central Park West area of the upper west side in Manhattan, including blue prints of a walk in vault on the first floor.  Also laid out was a schematic of the alarm system and various alarm codes and their generation procedures.  Michelle was reading the morning issue of the New York Times on her MacBook Pro as she sipped her latte and smiled, her dark brown eyes twinkling as she scanned the following news report:

New York Times –

An armed robber stole millions of dollars worth of jewels at a hotel in Cannes, officials said.

According to the BBC, the theft took place on Sunday at the jewelry exhibition Carlton Hotel. The stolen gems are worth around $53 million, the AFP reported (I got $75 million, but who's counting?)

Sky News also confirmed the incident. (dumb asses)

According to The Independent, the heist took place in broad daylight. Local news media said the thief escaped with the stolen jewels in a briefcase (it was a Louis Vuitton!...NEVER call a Louis Vuitton a briefcase!)

This is the third major jewel heist this year to take place at Cannes, the site of one of the world's most prestigious film festivals. During festival in May, $1.4 million worth of gems were stolen from a Swiss jeweler. Later in the week, a diamond necklace worth $2.6 million was taken

Oddly enough, the Carlton hotel is one of the major locations in "To Catch A Thief” - the classic Hitchcock film about a retired jewel thief

Michelle’s shapely assistant Harper sat the toasted bagel on a plate in front of Michelle.  She took a seat on the opposite side of the small breakfast table that sat in front of a large picture window.  The view of Central Park from the window was breathtaking as the day was especially clear in Manhattan, the sun beginning to peak over the trees.

Michelle’s eyes widened as she continued sipping her latte and reading intently,

PARIS — A staggering 40 million euro ($53 million) worth of diamonds and other jewels were stolen Sunday from the Carlton Intercontinental Hotel in Cannes, in one of Europe's biggest jewelry heists in recent years, police said. One expert noted the crime follows recent jail escapes by members of the notorious "Pink Panther" jewel thief gang.

The hotel in the sweltering French Riviera was hosting a temporary jewelry exhibit over the summer from the prestigious Leviev diamond house, which is owned by Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev.

A police spokesman said the theft took place around noon, but he could not confirm local media reports that the robber was a single gunman, possibly a female, who stuffed a suitcase with the gems before making a swift exit. The spokesman spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter on the record.

The luxury Carlton hotel is situated on the exclusive Promenade de la Croisette that stretches a mile and a half along the French Riviera, and is thronged by the rich and famous throughout the year. The hotel's position provides not only a beautiful view of the sea but also an easy getaway for potential jewel thieves along the long stretch of road.

"It's a huge theft. Anytime you talk about a heist with many millions of dollars it turns heads and feeds the imagination," said Jonathan Sazonoff, U.S. editor for the Museum Security Network website and an authority on high-value crime"

He said, "The likelihood of recovering the stolen diamonds and jewels is slim, because thieves can easily sell them on" "The fear is, if you're dealing with high quality minerals, it's hard to get them back," Sazonoff said. "They can be broken up and so they can be easily smuggled and sold"

The valuable gems were supposed to be on public display until the end of August. It was not immediately clear how many pieces were stolen.

Several police officers were placed in front of the Carlton exhibition room – near a Cartier diamond boutique – to prevent the dozens of journalists and photographers from getting a look in at the scene of the crime.

Hotel officials would not comment, and attempts to reach Leviev or his company were not immediately successful.

Europe has been struck by several brazen jewelry thefts in recent years, some of which have involved tens of millions of dollars in treasure.

On Feb. 18 in Belgium, some $50 million worth of diamonds were stolen.

In that heist, the stones from the global diamond center of Antwerp had been loaded on a plane headed to Zurich when robbers dressed in dark police clothing and hoods drove through a hole they'd cut in the Brussels Airport fence in two black cars with blue police lights flashing. They drove onto the tarmac, approached the plane, brandished machine guns, offloaded the diamonds, then left in an operation that took barely five minutes.

Authorities have since detained dozens of people and recovered much of the stolen treasure in that operation.

Two years ago, in July 2012, armed robbers wearing women's wigs and clothing made off with diamond rings, gem-studded bracelets and other jewelry said then to be worth $108 million from a Harry Winston boutique in Paris. (I thought the fake, baudy women’s wigs were a neat touch.  The fucking police now think it was an all male gang trying to dress up as women. Jesus!  Next thing you know they’ll be saying it’s a gang of transvestites or female impersonators!)

As Christmas shoppers strolled outside, the gunmen forced store employees to strip rings, necklaces and earrings from window displays and pull more out of safes – a brazen robbery that took place in the presence of security guards and security cameras in one of Paris' toniest shopping locales.

Also in 2012 – in September of that year – in a scene reminiscent of the movie "The Italian Job", masked thieves drilled a tunnel into a Damiani jewelry company showroom in Milan, Italy. They tied up the staff with plastic cable and sticky tape, then made off with gold, diamonds and rubies worth some $20 million. The robbers had been digging for several weeks from a building under construction next door.

Cannes appears to be the favorite target this year – in May it was struck by other two highly publicized jewelry heists during the Cannes Film Festival.  (That was me too!  I’ve been a busy little girl!)

In the first theft, robbers stole about $1 million worth of jewels after ripping a safe from the wall of a hotel room. The jewelry was taken from the Novotel room of an employee of Chopard, the Swiss-based watch and jewelry maker that has loaned bling to A-list stars walking the red carpet at the film festival.

In the second, thieves outsmarted 80 security guards in an exclusive hotel and grabbed a De Grisogono necklace that creators say is worth 2 million euros ($2.6 million.)

Sazonoff said “It's normal for robbers to gravitate to a place like Cannes, whose glimmering harbor and glamorous film festival attract the world's rich and famous” "Why do thieves target Cannes? It's simple ... On the Cote d'Azur, it's where the monied people flow," he said.

Sazonoff also said police would likely probe whether Sunday's heist is linked to recent jail escapes by alleged members of the "Pink Panther" jewel thief gang.

On Thursday, a member of the gang escaped prison after accomplices rammed a gate and overpowered guards with bursts from their AK-47s, police said. Milan Poparic fled with fellow inmate Adrian Albrecht from the Orbe prison in the western Swiss state of Vaud. (OK!  That was NOT me!  Just some damn wannabes!  Fucking copycats!)

Police say the “Pink Panthers” network's members are prime suspects in a series of daring thefts. According to Interpol, the group has targeted luxury watch and jewelry stores in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States, netting more than (EURO)330 million (>285m) since 1999.

Poparic is the third member of the “Pink Panthers” to escape from a Swiss prison in as many months, according to Vaud police.

"The brazen drama of it is their style... The possibility of the reemergence of the Pink Panther gang is very troubling and taken seriously by law enforcement worldwide," Sazonoff said. "The theft of high value diamonds is exactly what they do, so it's not a great leap to assume they are on the warpath again. They are a crime wave waiting to happen."

(I'll have more on the "Pink Panthers" later)

Michelle looked up, turned her head and gazed out the window.  Harper watched her turn, smiled and then spoke,

“Nice work Chelley, Peter Sellers would be proud!”  “You got out of there clean as a whistle and now you sit here in New York with that shit eating grin on your face”

Michelle chuckled, “Yeah and I didn’t have to shoot one person either!”

Harper walked over to the bay window and held the “bauble up to the light, then turned and smile, her eyes meeting Michelle’s as she spoke,

“This an amazing gem Chelley”  “The Devil’s Eye Pendant”

Michelle looked up as smiled as Harper held the gem up in her right hand between her thumb and forefinger, twisting it in the light, watching the rays refract in all directions and in all colors.

Harper continued,

“You break into the Museum, which to protect its contents also happened to boast of one of the MOST sophisticated security systems in the country.  Closed-circuit cameras, motion sensors, proximity alarms and lockdown panels supposedly to help insure against the unusually dense crime rate of the erstwhile idyllic metropolis. Any attempt at forceful breach was to alert every police station in a ten-mile radius, and several heroes had agreed to be on-call to help out as well. Now such security measures would have deterred any normal thief. But Michelle, is not by any means a normal thief”

“Are you love?”

Michelle sipped her latte and looked up and just smiled.  Harper then asked,

“Have you heard from HER?”

Michelle smiled as she spread the cream cheese on her bagel

“Harpy, you know I always know where my partner is… and she is just fine, probably did some partying in Paris after the “job” and is hung over”

“You know HER”

“She’s also going to be doing some prelim work for a job we’re thinking about and I expect to hear from her later today”

Harper put her hands on her hips and asked Michelle,

“We’re going back to Paris again?”

Michelle looked up and peered at her friend over her reading glasses and smiled,

“I’m thinking about London”

“Then again, didn’t Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz say….There’s no place like home?”

TO BE CONTINUED – Chap 2, Part 2 – In the Beginning

This was an idea I got a little over a month ago and I’m still working on it.  I ran it by some people whose opinions I respect and they are encouraging me to move forward with it so I’m giving it a shot.  I have gone several different directions with it and haven’t decided exactly how to proceed but I think the possibilities might be endless (fights in walk in closets with safes, fights in walk in vaults after being trapped in their with someone you don’t especially like, sex in walk in vaults after being trapped with either 1) someone you THOUGHT you didn’t like or 2) someone you have always liked, etc)

It goes on and on.  I had also considered collaborating with someone on this series as we could write it as a “team” but from different perspectives.  I would still like to do that although it appears that won't happen.

As always, any thoughts or ideas you all might have as to a direction I should take with this are very welcome, as are cheers and jeers.  My goal is to write something that is fun and entertaining, yet not the “norm”.  If I don't feel like I can do that then it won't go any further than this entry.

Thanks again for the support.

You could also be caught by an even smarter and more attractive police officer.

Certainly never one quite as modest, shy and unassuming. ;)

As one of those who have encouraged her to give this idea a whirl, I'm thrilled to see It Takes Two Thieves come to life. Yet another side of the spectacular cosmic entity that is Michelle.

Keep 'em comin'!

Life is way too short for modesty.....

its also too short to be a thief and deal with a cop who's not more attractive than me....

its not all about the money.....its about the rush...and the sex......

As far as this story..its an experiment....I am not sure I'll move very far forward with it.....

depends on the "cop"...and my "partner" in crime :)

Is this story going to include a prison courtyard fight?

Ok...this is an interesting request......

Can you kinda fill me in on the background on your prison courtyard fight request?

If I can make it add to a story line.....I'll look at it...

Of course...one of my goals in being a successful thief is to stay OUT of prison....unless I do get caught and a

possible story line is me making a daring escape...or myself and my "as yet unannounced partner" making a daring escape...

Exactly what I'm thinking, Michelle--halfway into the story, you realize you need help from an old acquaintance, who's currently in prison.  She gets out by courtyard-catfighting another inmate as the corrupt guards watch.

Might be the best way to introduce my "partner".........I also recall a prison yard rescue either in the U.S. or Mexico sometime in the past.......I'm liking this idea more and more....

Michelle in prison, I knew it would happen sooner or later.  What was it this time Chelley, insider trading?  I will come and visit, bring a cake with a file in it :)

Heather

When i'm in Pittsburg next week we can talk about my idea of you being my cell mate in a future prison chapter.  You know what that means :P
