Warning: numerous spoiler alerts.
1. In the pre-fight interviews, yes, both girls are painfully nervous. But, in real life (except for alcohol-fueled barfights), if pre-fight interviews were conducted and filmed, wouldn't 90% of women be revealed to be literally shaking in their boots just minutes before an actual catfight?
2. Jocelyn reveals an enticing story of once being jumped by a girl at a party, and escalating the slaps she received by retaliating with punches. She also confesses a fear of 'feeling like a loser' if she loses the fight to Misty.
3. Misty reflects on her hairpulling classic against Jacky Fay, and says that pulling Jacky Fay's chin down to her chest seemed to make it harder for her opponent to breathe. She also expresses a desire to finally record a win.
4. Girl-next-door accents on both girls.
5. Was Round One tepid? Perhaps. But I'll take that over two girls coming out of the gate at 150 miles per hour and having nothing in the tank before the ending (I'm looking at you, Lexi vs Sarah Brooke).
6. The one submission: Jocelyn gave, but very reluctantly. And Misty almost ran out of clock in getting it done.
7. The sweat: wow--was the thermostat turned up intentionally? It looked great in the girls' dishevelled hair.
8. Post-fight scratches: Jocelyn definitely got the worst of it. Misty threw shade at Jacky Fay by noting her own lack of 'fake nail' scratches.
9. 'Best feeling in the world' comment by Misty afterwards seemed genuine. As did Jocelyn's dejection.
10. Misty's three fights in hindsight: she seemed at her most dangerous when swinging her right hand. Would have loved to see her in an MMA-/boxing-style match. Her followthru on her strikes was a natural.
