Nice posts and thanks for posting.. Yes, these definitely were scripted, HOWEVER the women at least give the impression that they are wrestling. We're not watching high wire / high impact gymnastics, which is today's pro wrestling. So be it.
Also, at least for me, there's something special about these old black and white films. Maybe it's because the women really make contact with each other, or may it's because it takes me back to a time when watching f v f was such a rarity that we really relished the opportunity to view a match or a movie catfight. Regardless, this is fun to watch.
