Why the "Railroaded!" catfight was the Greatest of the 1940s

The catfight in "Railroaded!" was the Fight of the Decade because:

1> Jane Randolph vs Sheila Ryan, each at the peak of their careers.  Sheila had another movie catfight just one year later.

2> Blonde vs brunette, each in perfect 1940s hair.

3> Perfect size/build matchup.

4> Good girl (Ryan) vs bad girl (Randolph).

5> Good girl confronts bad girl at the bad girl's residence.

6> Both are dressed in expensive clothes; the blonde in a frilly dress that seems about to slide off at any time.

7> Good girl is standing up for her brother.

8> The trashtalk and opening slaps seem real.

9> Fight alternates, convincingly, from furniture to floor.

10> Outcome is in doubt until the very end.

I liked John Ireland just staying in the closet and enjoying the show.

The Railroaded fight is a good one, for sure. I think old-style film noir catfights are more interesting than modern day martial arts fights. Here's another old one, from the movie Torture Ship. The fight starts 5 minutes in:
