film/movie ?

What film/movie do you consider has the most realistic catfight?

From Russia with Love is probably the most famous.

There is a catfight in the film The Elephant Man. It is quite a short scene, between two mature women. Both women have badly cut faces. Very realistic, with one woman crying at the end.

Hillary Swank's boxing in Million Dollar Baby seems realistic.

Malena (2000)

Starring Monica Bellucci as Malena.

Malèna is a 2000 historical romantic drama film written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore from a story by Luciano Vincenzoni. It stars Monica Bellucci and Giuseppe Sulfaro.

A teenage boy named Renato becomes obsessed with the beautiful and sensual Malèna, who is the most desired young woman in town. Her husband is in the armed forces fighting the British in Africa, and she lives alone. Because of her beauty and solitary status, she is an object of lust for all the town's men and of hatred for its women.

When the Nazis take over this Italian town, and Malena finds herself penniless, she prostitutes herself to the Nazis.

When the Germans eventually leave, the town's women storm the hotel and drag out Malèna, ripping off her clothes, beating her to a bloody pulp and cutting off her hair.

I'm really not into seeing a girl get beaten to a bloody pulp like that, but it is 100% realistic... no doubt...

It's available on Amazon and Netflix.

Like, actually realistic? Probably Mean Girls. They hate each other, but it stays social/verbal/emotional.

By far, the best movie catfight is in THE GEISHA.  It is close to 5 minutes long, and there are only two! two! two! edits in the entire thing.  (Most movie fights, male or female, will have a half dozen edits per minute)

And it is not some choreographed martial arts chop and sock fight.  It's a true close in desperate catfight.  These two gals deserve an award for realism.

P.S. By comparison, The From Russia With Love catfight is 52 seconds long and has 18 edits.

Thank you so much for posting that one, rin753. The bare feet (of one of the women) got me aroused.  ;D
