I wrote a few death fight stories myself, and it happened to me that some characters imposed themselves to me, and instead of "killing" them, I made them the winners, or at least let them survive - making the rest of the story much more complicated.
Enigma made me wince with the sentence: «They were locked in that grotesque tableau—Seraphine astride, one hand mauling Mara’s violated sex with sand and spite, the other braced on the brunette’s throat again; Mara writhing beneath, one arm free and clawing, the other pinned, legs thrashing uselessly in the surf.»
In real life I am very peaceful, but enjoyed watching bikini wrestling and tame catfights between athletes. Once, having scouted for a location where a video of topless wrestling could be turned, and four excellent toung women ready to start... I and the producer were to find that girl string are NOT enough to prevent sand to enter where it wasn't supposed to go. We had not enough blankets at hand, and those we had got quickly full of sand even with a mild sea breeze. Two attemps, and we had to get back home! Lesson laerned: sand can be murderous - as Enigma's story eloquently shows.
@Enigma - Please keep writing, and do not be ashamed for some nasty scenarios and possibly dead ends. There are not many stories like that in here, lately.
