do women think differently about fighting/wrestling?

I have  only just discovered this site but I have been an avid women's combat fan for a long time and I have been lucky enough to attend over a dozen live wrestling events in the UK ( all wrestling, no catfights).

One thing that interests me is the approach to fighting ( or more strictly wrestling) of the women fighters. I have talked to a few of them and they all seem to genuinely enjoy the wrestling even though they are being paid to do it. I have never really seen a woman not try hard or just give in and walk off if losing. Of course they are being paid and organisers like Pippa or Monica do not accept wrestlers who don't try but the determination to fight hard seems genuine. However there is little of the male "macho" pre fight posturing or trash talk. I am sure women to get "macho" when arguing whilst drunk in bars etc. but put a woman onto a mat one on one and they seem to have determination and aggression but no aggro or cockiness. That sees very different to men.

Also there seems a cameraderie aqmong the women which is 100% opposed to the sort of fight descriptions you get on this and other sites!!

I can remember at one event a little baby coming along with one of the wrestlers as she could not get a baby sitter. The other wrestlers made the usual female fuss of the baby and congratulated mum etc. Then literally five minutes later one of the congratulators had the mum in a very hard headllock and was absolutley grinding the hell out of the mum she had been chatting to earlier!

I think there are at least some actual female fighters here, do you think women are less macho about wrestlking than men and is it different for a crtfight?

I emeber the legendary Barb saying once on CWSS that she had never wrestled a woman she didn't like - is that the secret maybe?

I,ve come to think think that women tend to fights "with" each other where me often fight more "against" each other.
Don,t know an other way to put it.
