they,Gilleys,do not use mud as they did in the Frontier years ago they now used chocolate pudding but still call it mud wrestling, about 30 gal of it spread out in a pool and the girls wrestle in. the wrestling consists of a 8 girl "winner takes all" format and there is a "prize pool" as in the audience bids on becoming a "corner person" who between rounds towels off the girls,gives them water ect. all money raised my the audience bidding for this "corner person" is the prize pool. I was there April 17 and the prize pool was over 1k,nice nights work and none of my money was in the prize pool. they wrestle 2 2 minute rounds and if a girl does not get a pin or submission the winner is decided by the audience yelling and applause. all the girls are locals except there is a match between the "main event",final match and the previous semi final match. the girls do fight for real as they know what the prize pool can be big. there is a locker room with a shower so the girls can clean up between matches and ready themselves for the next match. the girls,unless they r not locals must provide their own attire. i stand by the lane that is roped off so i can see the girls up close and talk to them too,they are friendly just be respectable to them and yes they do have security watching you as you speak with them and than is fine. do not be stupid and try to grab them!! they all have screen names,who uses their real name in Las Vegas? it was a good show. i did tell 1 girl for her second match to keep low on the girl she was wrestling cause her opponent was shorter but not more agile and she did stay low and won and ended up winning the whole 1K that night. that will pay your rent.lol the girls wrestle for different reasons and 1 did tell me there are post match fights in the locker room but not always or often. i am clueless if there is a female from Gilleys to stop them? i also held out my hand after the match so the girls could slap it as they went by and i would say something like "congrats,great match ect". yes u get a hand with chocolate pudding slapping your hand but that is no problemo. the match between the "main event" and last semi final match consists of 2 girls from the audience wrestling each other. they are paid NO money so they do it to "try it out" but are given swim wear from Gilleys. they only got 1 audience member to do ti so they had a "ringer" shall we say as the second girl was a local and a friend of the m c and they wrestled each other. it was a fun night and free admission. even had 1 of the losing girls from the first round propitiation me after her match cause she lost and got no money. sorry i declined the offer but was impressed she picked me out. there were a couple of girls close to me they,Gilleys security, was trying to convince them to wrestle but they did not.
( every Wednesday night starting at 11p but matches do not start till maybe 11:30 with all the preliminary items,explanation of format,rules,introduction of girls ect.
