Going into this unique apartment tag match, the odds seemed heavily stacked against Tisdale and Hyland. However, they came to the fight with a strategy, and that was to use their speed to confound the greater strength of their opponents.
And it was a remarkably successful strategy, as Ashley and Sarah frequently tagged in and out, steadily wearing Benson and Gomez down. Eventually, Tisdale and Hyland had one of their opponents reeling badly, and ripe to be plucked.
Maneuvering Selena over to her corner, Tisdale held the Latina tight in a Full Nelson, close enough to the carpeted area where Sarah stood. Hyland then hammered Selena's belly and breasts with a flurry of fists, knocking the wind from her. As Ashley released her hold, the moaning Gomez sank to her knees.
Tisdale then flipped her opponent onto her back, sat down on the floor, and entwined her legs with those of her victim, trapping Gomez in a figure four. The agony of that alone would doubtless drive the helpless girl to submit soon enough, but this match is not about submission...it's about destruction and dominance.
To achieve that, Tisdale made sure that Selena's upper body lay across the throw rug that constituted the 'ring corner' where Hyland stood. That, in turn, allowed Sarah to drop her rear end across the sweat-soaked, gasping face of Gomez, face sitting her. Smothered, her right leg torqued to the point where it felt as if the muscles and tendons would be torn asunder, Selena thrashed, but was unable to break free. Her right hand frantically slapped at the floor, signaling her surrender...but Ashley and Sarah weren't interested in letting their victim give up. She was being sent into oblivion, whether she liked it or not.
From her corner on the opposite side of the room, Ashley struggled with herself to not dash over and save her partner. But she knew the rules well enough: that would not only get them disqualified, but Benson would be banned from competing for the next year. With the stakes that high, she had no choice but to let her friend suffer, and to accept that defeat is their destiny on this night.
Finally...mercifully...Selena ceased to move. Sarah stood up, and the incoherent brunette's lungs gulped in precious air; Gomez let out an unconscious sigh of relief as Tisdale released her figure four as well.
Triumphantly, a gleeful Tisdale and Hyland couldn't contain their excitement, bouncing up and down on the balls of their feet while hugging. Then, to complete their success, then both placed a foot upon the heaving chest of Gomez and struck victory poses, while the applause of the spectators rained down upon them.
