Or one could actually pay for it and give movie producers the silly notion that more movies with the same subject matter is viable. Granted most cat fight producers likely don't believe the subject matter of female fights is commercially viable either. And likely for the same reason.
To be fair I have no idea when this is likely to be available in the UK so I can't pay for it even if I wanted to, I've seen several people ask the same question on the Facebook page for the movie but so far they haven't bothered to answer, by the looks of the Facebook page they have no real interest in sharing any information. Also besides the fact the subject matter is female combat this movie looks like an absolute turkey, I'm all for supporting producers who make good movies, but producers or companies who make terrible movies and show such disregard for potential customers don't really deserve anyone's money.
A terrible movie that you STILL downloaded. You are like the jerk who wolfs down a meal at a restaurant then has the nerve to demand it for free because it was not to your liking. Distribution seems to be mainly American based since its done via IFC Midnight on demand.
But I am not sure how you think stealing the terrible movies makes a producer think your behavior would magically change if if they tossed money at the next female fighting movie to provide a good script, top notch direction , and high production values. Likely they will assume (likely correctly) that the same self entitlement will be justified in some other way.
Sure don't pay the same price as a Criterion Blu-ray for it, but it seems hypocritical to justify not paying anything becuase you decided before hand it will be awful, but yet still something you wish to see.
I also download decent movies too, but if I like a movie then I will usually go see it at the cinema at least once and I'll purchase it when it's released, I also download music, but again I spend thousands of pounds every year going to see bands that I like and buying their music once it's released.
Um, it's basic logic really, if you make a good movie then there is a good chance more people will go and see it and buy it once it's released but if you cheap out and make a bad movie then the opposite is true, if producers need me to point that out to them then they are in the wrong line of business. Besides you make false assumptions that people who download stuff don't pay for anything, I probably spend way more money on music and movies than the majority of people who have never downloaded anything.
There are lots of things I wouldn't pay for but if they were free I'd probably have them, that isn't hypocritical it's simply common sense and basic economics, besides they were never going to sell me something if I already think it isn't gong to be very good, but if I download it and end up liking it then I will probably buy it when it's released, thats a potential sale gained not lost.
