The tag battle, as anticipated, was a raucous riot from the opening bell, with the rule book the first victim. Few were surprised to find Hayden and Kristen indulging in their patented rulebreaking tactics, but it was something of a shock to find Vanessa and Emma likewise throwing off the kid gloves and fighting fire with fire. And what began as a pro wrestling match rather quickly descended into a back alley brawl.
Inevitably perhaps, the old rivals focused on one another, with Panettiere and Hudgens most frequently going at it, and Stewart and Watson eagerly doing the same. Tag teaming being rather new to all four young ladies, neither team functioned with very great precision. Nonetheless, the action never flagged for a second, and control of the battle remained fairly even between both duos.
Now however, it looked as if the end was at last in sight. Hayden and Nessa were the legal wrestlers in the ring, but that didn't stop Emma and Kristen from taking their fight to ringside, where they slugged it out. The Brit grabbed the arm of her nemesis and began to Irish whip her to the steps, but Stewart was able to reverse, and it was Emma who crashed painfully into the steel ring stairs, leaving her in groaning in a daze on the arena floor. That was all the opportunity Kristen needed; she pulled her rival up to unsteady feet by her hair, tucked Emma's head between her thighs, wrapped her arms around the Englishwoman's waist, and executed her 'Twilight' piledriver on the unyielding concrete floor! From how limply her body collapsed after the impact, it was obvious that Watson was unconscious in an instant.
Meanwhile back up in the ring, there was an opposite fate on hand for Kristen's partner, as Hayden was whipped to the canvas courtesy of a huricanrana, leaving her splayed across the mat in a daze. Vanessa wasted no time mounting her rival's chest, grabbing both legs to hold her in place for a pin, with Panettiere's face nestled between the kneeling thighs of the smiling Hudgens. The referee dropped down beside them and began to count...

Seeing this unfold from outside, Kristen frantically dives under the bottom rope and hurls herself at Vanessa, intent on breaking the count...

Stewart's blow to the back of Nessa's skull comes a heartbeat too late, as the ref concludes his count and orders the bell to be rung. Furious at losing, Kristen does not halt her attack on the startled Hudgens, quickly rendering her hapless with a flurry of boot stomps as the timekeeper futily clangs the bell to signal the match has ended. Recovering, Hayden climbs to her feet and, intercepted by the protesting referee, she swiftly dispatches him by throwing him through the ropes to the floor below! Then she turns her attention to Vanessa.
Hauling the glassy-eyed brunette to her feet, Hayden wraps her arms around her waist and hoists her up, while Kristen snares her in a leaping stunner, bringing Hudgens crashing back down to the mat with a 3D, and leaving her as insensate as her partner at ringside. The blonde then plants her boot upon the unmoving body of her foe while Stewart counts 1...2...3! A symbolic victory at best, for the match is officially over. But anyone tuning in at this exact moment might be hard-pressed to determine who won and who lost, and Hayden and Kristen, arms slung over one another, march pridefully up the aisle, ignoring the chorus of boos and jeers, while the victors of the match are themselves carried away on stretchers.
Clearly, this war is far from over.
