That’s not a sports science video, it’s a stunt set up to entertain the viewers of a TV show, not an objective test.
First clue - look at the size of the gloves the guys are wearing, compared to the ones Lucia has on.
She's wearing 8oz competition gloves. Theirs are 18oz sparring gloves, with a lot more padding, specifically designed to absorb the power of a punch and reduce the chances of fighters being KO’d or injured while sparring. In boxing, they are known as "Pillow gloves"
I’ve done many rounds myself wearing both types of glove, including both competitive fights and sparring with the same guys, so I know what the difference feels like, as well as what it looks like!
Also, when the male fighter hits the test dummy, he throws a straight arm punch with no step up to gain momentum and power. Lucia takes 2 steps and moves to the side so she can twist her body and throw a power hook, not a straight arm cross. If she’d worn the same gloves, and thrown the same punch as the guy, I guarantee you, he would he would have hit the dummy harder than her.
Like I said, this was just for entertainment, and shouldn't be taken too seriously.
