Hi everyone,

I have an idea for a retro championship/league, the year I'm thinking is either 1998 or 1999 as that's when the internet really started booming and photos/videos of actresses & singers are easier to find than before that.

If there's enough interest we could go right through the years and build a real history of the championship, the one problem is that I suck at writing. I mean I can't hold a candle to some of the excellent writers on here, but I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to things like numbers and organising matches/rounds etc. So I can do the nuts and bolts stuff easily, but if you wanted more depth I think I might need some help.

It's an idea I've had for a while so if anyone is interested feel free to comment! Think it could develop into something awesome if there's enough interest in it.

I was thinking dividing the celebs up into music, TV and movie sections based on what or who were popular at the time.

Based in late 1998, the music section would consist of:

Some pretty awesome recommendations there guys, I only looked through the big films/songs of 98 to get my list (actually what I posted is only part of it) so anyone inactive in 1998 but already famous from previous years won't show up.

The one concern is the number of women in this competition gets too big. I may have to set a limit to each section (music, tv, movies).

Another idea is doing a tournament based on the FHM 100 hottest women from years gone by.

Loved the female singers from that era so I would love to see this happen and a little added humiliation for the weaker girls would be a nice touch as well. Probably a vote would be the best way to get it down to 16.
