The Pam Grier Myth
« on: January 24, 2014, 06:18:45 PM »
Pam was known for being a tough mama. However, a review of her catfights reveal that she normally got her ass kicked! I know a person that was in the movie Big Dollhouse, and they told me that the catfight scene  was real!!!! It arose as the result of Pam and the white girl arguing all the time and the director said they could go at it. Well, the white girl was dunking Pam's face in the mud while twisting her arm behind her back. Pam tearfully submitted.  In the Big Bird Cage, Pam was knocked out with one punch. In Foxy Brown, her  Afro was pulled, and she was floored by a solid right hook. Prior to the unrealistic fight in Coffy, Pam's tities were exposed, her hair was pulled, and a drink was thrown in her face!  Pam fought to a draw in Black Mama-White Mama and also in Sheba Baby!!  Pam contributed to the belief that Black girls ALWAYS beat White girls!! That is simply not the case.  However, Pam was always sexy even though she got her ass kicked!!!!

Firts..In sheba baby Pam Grier wins!
Second..In foxy brown she wins against some women!!
Third..In coffy Pam Girer wins against a lot of white women alone!!
Now..She lose in the Big Dollhouse against a stronger anf fitter withe Roberta Collins! But at the end Pam Grier is definetelly a strong and fantastic movie fighter!!

I really don't care if an actress can fight or not in real life. It's the fight on the screen that interests me. Or even better, the fight I imagine taking place. That said, Pam Grier will always be a champion catfighter in my book (in addition to being a stunningly beautiful woman).

I agree.  IRL Kelly Monaco and IRL Laura Wright can't fight at all, but on screen in General Hospital (see:  Carly vs Sam on YouTube), wow!
