I am afraid that "Digital Influencer" not only is a word (two words) but it also is a recognised (and remunerable) new job. Kristina Bazan herself held a lecture in Oxford University concerning this new frontier of self employment.
Instagram has no part in this, Influencer is the present-day evolution of the now obsolete "fashion blogger". Or actually, fashion blogger applies to a different job at this point.
