Most times when celebrities brawl, they keep it real low-key when the punches stop. Publicists are hired. Things are swept under the rug.
But not Reese Witherspoon. She and Sofia Vergara had a knock down brawl on the set of their New Orleans movie, and Reese was bragging about it afterwards.
Witherspoon said backstage at the Academy Nominees Luncheon on Monday that she had "rug burns" on her knees from this battle royale and "bruises up and down my legs."
She even said she prepared for the Oscar event by "wrestling with Sofia Vergara. It's actually good for your skin. It's a way to get the muscles going."
Much of this was probably for their new comedy, Hot Pursuit, shooting in New Orleans. And Witherspoon did not seem to be in obvious physical pain. But we're going to let our imagination run a little, well, Wild, which happens to be the name of the movie Witherspoon was nominated for.
Vegas odds would probably give Vergara the big edge in an actual battle. And Witherspoon did pay respects to her foe, saying of Vergara:
"She's very tough, she's a strong girl."
You don't need to tell us that, Reese.
