Hello all,
Came across the remarkable picture from a December 1939 pulp book called "South Sea Stories". It includes a tale of beautiful white society girl called Miriam being stranded on an island, falling in love with Taku the chief and ultimately fighting her rival, a local girl called Tangi, for his love.
The accompanying picture is very explicit for its time! To buy a copy is very expensive but there are scanned PDF out there (search for "Southsea Stories December 1939 PDF) but you have to pay a subscription to media download companies.
On the off chance anyone has a preexisting account i (and hopefully everyone on this board) would be grateful if they could be shared on this board (I will of course withdraw this post if any copyright is infringed)
