For years I followed Crystal Films until it closed a few years back. One particular fighter and often an emcee was Maylay. She was a bit chubby but a very sexy, attractive woman from Canada I believe. So my question, does anyone out there remember her and possibly even know what happened to her? Is she still around and maybe still fighting? I doubt that because she's likely well into her 60s. She may be chubby by today's standards but I always found her hot, hot and hotter, whether she won or lost. Would be great to see more like her today, wouldn't you agree. Thanks to all of you for any information on the lovely Maylay.

Like you, I was a Maylay lover, and named her as my favorite catfighter of all-time when the subject arose a few months back.  You're right about her age.  If my educated guess is correct, she should be around 67, which is way too old to engage in any kind of fighting or wrestling, no matter how scripted.  I can attest to that personally.  So, my guess is that she's fully retired from such activity.  Still, I wish that she would show up to a website like this and take a few bows from her many fans.  That would be fun.  I can only hope that she is still with us, and would love to hear from her or from someone formerly involved with Crystal as to her whereabouts. 

Actually, I think that she was from Brooklyn, not Canada, judging by her speech.

It would be very interesting to know a little bit about her personal life.  For instance, was she married when she fought?  Was she a mom at the time?  If she was married with kids at that time, that adds to the excitement of having seen her fight.  I mean, how many of us can see their moms being involved in something like Crystal?

I always enjoyed her commentary, and I really enjoyed seeing her in the scripted fights.

I met her at the fight nites at the triangle building downtown NYC a very nice person she also filled in if they needed a girl to fight. It was a small club they filmed for about two hours. I think she was involved with one of the owners. Thank you Joey

Saw many of her fights on the countless clips I bought over the years but never got a chance to see her live, which would have been great. So I always had this ridiculous fantasy that I was at one of her events at the Hellfire Club and helped her either get over a loss or celebrate a win. I can't even imagine how much fun that activity would have been. Oh well, back to reality and my never ending search for the perfect mature catfighter out there, assuming she does exist! Must be a few out there!
