Ronda Rousey
« on: September 23, 2017, 04:50:06 PM »
It is amazing how fast Ronda went from being a feared woman to a complete joke. The fight with Holly showed she was beatable but what Nunes did was turn her into a pucnhline. When her loser trainer mentions her coming back to fight Cyborg her once most hated rival, Meisha Tate said she would not want to see her get slaughtered like that.  MMA legend Don Frye says it would be like feeding Christians to the lions and the best of all Cyborg said she would fight her, in WWE as she knows she might kill her.

Her coach is a hack, her mother is not much better and her whole personality was based on winning. She can't process how could she lose to anyone and especially in such a spectacular way. Right now I think if any average woman (not a fighter) manages to kick or punch her in a head just hard enough to rattle her she would just freeze and break down again(would love to see that actually). It's kind of sad really, she tainted her legacy and will be remembered for her loses and breakdown.

I think her mom is solid but other than that I agree.  It would be so hot to see some random tough ass chic turn her into a human punching bag.

I think I watched or read somewhere that her mother is the one who made her so competitive but apparently she didn't teach her to lose in the process (I could be remembering wrong). Anyway it doesn't seem Ronda has it in herself to fight anybody anytime soon unless she goes to some kind of therapy, she might even happen to have some kind of PTSD.

I would be very shocked to see her fight again. As you say mentally she is shot. And physically also. Her knees are gone. Because of her thick ass neck she can take a punch but it immediately sends her to la la land. She said she remembers nothing after Hollys first left.

I doubt Ronda Rousey will ever fight MMA again... first because her ego couldn't handle the "risk" of another devastating loss... second because (financially) it doesn't make much sense for her. There's no great demand to see her - which would be the only way some promoter would give her a big enough guarantee to make her want to take that risk.

Besides, she still has name recognition and can (almost certainly) earn as much in a year as a B-movie actress (doing horror or exploitation films) perhaps finding a movie franchise where she could play Jennifer Lawrence's "mean older sister" or "the evil cyborg" in a Lawrence helmed "Terminatix" film.

There's been talk of her appearing in WWE which would seem a no-brainer unless talk of her "knees being shot" is anywhere close to the mark. If so, that may not be practical. Many wrestlers I've heard, or read, about seem to have knee problems after doing 200+ "shows" per year.

All that said, I'd hate to see her (at age 30-ish) simply disappear....or worse. She's a personality and seems to know how to present herself on camera, which makes some kind of show business career a natural fit. Perhaps as a wrestling/MMA color commentator or a WWE "personality" as a promoter/manager of female fighters. It would give her face time and keep her name in front of the public while not subjecting her body to the rigors of 4-5 night a week stresses.

If she can work with Bazler to get the wrestling basics down it would make sense for WWE to give her a Lesnar type of schedule as a special attraction that only does 10-15 TV/PPV shows each year.
