Pop princess Charli XCX was full of praise for Taylor Swift after touring with the ’Queen of Pop’ during her sold out stadium tour. ’She’s so amazing!’ Charli enthused. ’Touring with Taylor has done so much for my career, I’ve learned tons from her and she’s the most wonderful lady to be around.’
But there was one different pop princess who was not happy about Charli’s praise of Ms Swift - Katy Perry.
To close friends, she first started complaining: ’That bitch opened for my tour back in 2014 all over Britain, and that only after I promoted her single on Twitter. She parted from me without a fucking “thank you”, and now she acts as if she owed her success to that bitch!’
When Katy and Charli met at a party in New York there was an awkward silence between them to begin with which later in the evening escalated to open hostility.
Charli smirked with amusement when Katy, in passing by at a cold buffet, hissed at her, ’Well, I hope you’re getting some more out of Taylor sucking up to her the way you do!’
’Watch your mouth, “Californian brat”! We all know the stadiums Taylor sells out would be half empty if you tried to do your mediocre show there!’
Katy shot an angry glance at Charli. ’And you, little damsel, wouldn’t be able to fill an arena. So, show a bit more respect towards me, bitch!’

Taylor Swift, crowned the ‘Queen of Pop’ by the public, was doubtlessly much entertained and amused by the two pop princesses’ feud.
She now reminded Katy laughingly that she, Taylor, transformed from country singer to pop artist only to immediately and effortlessly destroying a large part of Katy’s career, outselling Katy’s album sales of months within a single day. ’So, be nice to my friends, Katy, it won’t be long and I’m the most powerful woman in the business, totally able to make or break you!’
You overestimate yourself, country pop whore!’ Katy replied and looked at Taylor with disgust. ’And I think it’s time I’ll settle this with your little obedient little slave Charli!’

Charli agrees to a fight in the ring with Katy. She speaks to a reporter with confidence: ’Time to teach her a lesson! I’ll rip her apart and make her very sorry!’
Katy has no fear of the upcoming fight and announces to a journalist: ’It’s the best way of showing her and the whole world that being Taylor’s little lap dog isn’t always a guarantee for getting away with just anything! I’m looking forward to tearing the bitch to shreds while wrestling her!’

Initially, on the stage the pop princesses compete as singers. In a battle of voices, each woman wants the audience to vote for her.

Taylor Swift arrives at the arena in which the fight is about to take place, together with her friends Karlie Kloss, Selena Gomez and Dua Lipa, to watch, and cheer for Charli. Katy brought fans and friends also, and the noisy crowds opposed to each other scream the two women’s names when they appear onstage.
Charli and Katy then face each other standing close together, Katy enjoying that she’s three inches taller than Charli, and Charli looking up at her with a self confident smile in spite of it.
‘Ready, bitch?’ Charli mocks Katy, and Katy replies derisively, ‘More than you could ever be, you brat!’

CHARLI XCX: ‘Sex appeal? A woman of Katy’s age should no longer try to compete with me, I’m in my twenties and even Katy’s fans would have to agree she doesn’t look very attractive compared to me!’

KATY PERRY: ‘Does Charli have sex appeal? Well, she can sometimes come close to it - but only as long as I’m not standing next to her. I’d say, I pretty much eclipse all her desperate efforts on “sexy” with my overpowering natural raw femininity.’
