From the initial interviews in the dressing room, both fighters look confident in winning.
The weight-in ritual shows that the girls share the same weight and is followed by an intense staredown.
Bianca and Venere warm up by jumping the rope and stretching. Fists are wrapped, and they are finally ready to enter the ring, wear their boxing gloves, tapes, cream and mouthpiece.
Match (20 minutes)Venere is assisted by Ambra, while Sabrina is Bianca’s helper.
As usual, a referee and a judge will make sure that rules are followed and points counted properly. The match is made up of 5 rounds of 2 minutes each.
The contenders start studying each other and seem to be conscious of the opponent’s strength. The rhythm and intensity grow with time, already during the first round.
Bianca becomes more aggressive, Venere gets hit more than once but retaliates promptly.
Bianca confirms a higher level of aggression and better footwork, while Venere is carefully defending. Also, there’s more hand to hand fighting and clinching than in other matches, with Venere repeatedly punching Bianca’s body in such situations.
The match looks even and undecided until the last round.
Post-match (5 minutes)After the proclamation of the winner, the judge and the referee give us detailed information on the match and the score, round by round.
