Session Wrestler Question
« on: December 21, 2021, 05:38:31 PM »
While considering a fictional story involving a session wrestler, I read an interview with Jeanne (Hollywood) Basone, an original GLOW girl who went on to a long career in the fetish industry as a catfighter/wrestler, producer, and session wrestler.

In discussing her session wrestling, she mentioned the risks involved and said she would show up to her sessions accompanied by a big tough guy for her bodyguard in case any of her clients turned out to be dangerous characters. She said she was still active but no longer takes new clients and feels safe with her long time customer base with whom she’s built up a trusting relationship.

Have any of you hired a session wrestler? Did she show up alone? Did she have a bodyguard? Or any other protection?

Thanks

I had a session wrestler flake on me. She was new to doing it to my knowledge, she didn't have to many rules like a bodyguard, but she did require transportation which I had to provide which wasn't a problem told I'd work it into her bill to me. When everything was set and done, she canceled a couple days before boxing my wife. Didn't give any specific reasons why, except she was seeing someone and they did not condone her session wrestler lifestyle. Shame too.

Thanks for sharing your experiences guys. Nonothing33, it’s a shame you got stood up. Jeanne Basone required a 50% deposit up front to offset getting burned by a no show. But at least she’s a reliable professional. I can see how the risk of getting stiffed works both ways, especially with upstart session wrestlers. I assume session wrestlers aren’t registered with the Better Business Bureau.

Did you pay her money for transport in advance? If not a well known session wrestler it could have been  a scam with no intention of her coming once she had your money.

She required a 25% deposit. If I remember correctly it was about $200 an hour for a session. I canceled my deposit once via paypal when she canceled the session. If it was a scam she wasn't good at it if she didn't deposit my transaction. The transportation I believe would've been worked into the session pay whatever the cost was so it would've been an additional fee. She's been inactive from SessionGirls for a couple years now, her excuse was her bf didn't want her doing it but is A-Ok with an OnlyFans page so...go figure. But I understanding from others who reached out to her that her boyfriend was VERY controlling of the sessions, regardless of who was involved.
