Since the last fight at Catfight Cavern resulted in both fighters being dragged off to the hospital, I still need to find someone to spend the night with. I decide to head out into the Outer City. At any time of night there is a fight going on somewhere out here. I ask Doctor Green if he has any suggestions and he tells me we should head out to The Schoolyard, which is a place I haven’t been to a whole lot so off we go.
Rachel, who has been on one of her usual losing streaks, has shown up here to challenge one of the residents, a girl named Sloan, to a fight. I liven the event up a bit by announcing I will go home with the winner. Rachel runs over to kiss me.
“You came to watch me win a fight!” she exclaims, though I haven’t seen her do anything but lose in quite some time.
Her opponent is a young schoolgirl named Sloan, age 19. She has been a resident of “The Orphanage” for some time, and has apparently built herself a decent reputation, though this is to be her first fight against an Outsider. If she wins the fight, she will claim Rachel’s fighting outfit as her own. If Rachel wins, she will receive nothing but an unofficial win for her overall record, but many low level fighters come here for little more than a confidence boost after a long losing streak.
The two young women stand on opposite corners of the small fenced in fighting area, glaring at each other with sheer unbridled hatred. A crowd of Orphanage residents, all in their schoolgirl uniforms, have gathered around the small fenced in area to watch the battle and I am given a special fence side seat for the bout.
The schoolmaster raises her hand, which immediately quiets down all the giggling and chattering girls surrounding the fighting area.
“IN THIS CORNER….IN THE RED PANTIES AND WRESTLING BOOTS…..RACHEL!”
Most of the girls begin booing and hissing the curly haired brunette, though a few, apparently enemies of Sloan, are cheering her on.
“AND IN THIS CORNER…IN THE WHITE PANTIES…SHOES AND SOCKS…..SLOAN!”
“I’M GONNA FUCK YOU UP LITTLE GIRL!” Rachel howls across at her opponent, who just sneers back at her. They don’t waste a lot of time here. The Schoolmaster raises the cowbell she is holding in her hand, raises the hammer, and quickly strikes it three times to begin the match.
