California Fever - Beach Wars

So, back in the summer of 1979 I was sat watching this show when it suddenly took an excellent turn for this teenage catfight fan as a blonde and brunette staged a decent little catfight in the beach bar frequented by the regular cast.

As I grew older I always remembered the episode and when I arrived on the internet and joined various catfight sites I would often ask if anyone could recall it or had seen it since, with no success.

Soon after the episode I became aware of the wonderfully sexy Heather Thomas in Fall Guy and followed her career afterwards, especially her catfight in Cyclone. When I researched Heather more, I could see that she was in this episode of California Fever so my need to see the episode again grew - was she one of the catfighters in this scene - well, one of them was blonde and there were not many other actresses listed in the cast list.

Well, my question was answered yesterday as the scene was posted to Twitter

of course, the scene was not as good as I recall but was great to finally see it again

Disappointingly, it also clarified that Heather was not one of the catfighters

Oh well, at least now I know  :) :) :)

The big problem with that  fight was  common for that  period of sitcom catfights --  they only showed bits and pieces, between cutaways.  What there was of it was sweet!
