Televised court proceedings of a female American Judge fill the programming of one channel in the UK. One highlighted the hostility between neighbours wh looked to be in their 50s. An argument over the garden fence had turned to abuse. The more reasonable of the two women stated that her neighbour wanted her to come into the road and fight her.
In a Scotland, during a lockdown to stem covid, two ladies (37 and not stated) had agreed via social media, to meet in a children's playground at midnight. Unfortunate, police officers on foot patrol heard raised voices coming from the park. They found five women in a circle shouting encouragement while two women
threatened each other and started throwing punches. Stopped before it had really started and a great disappointment for the ladies who had gone to watch.
The following clip is from a soap, but I think it is well scripted and well acted and illustrate the tension and excitement when women challenge and lock eyes with each other, even without the fight.
