Not a big fan of this as someone could possibly get seriously hurt in these fights. I'd rather they wrestle with their festive clothes on they currently are wearing and try to rip the others' clothes off and, say, hold their opponent's part of the torn shirt up in the air meaning victory. No one gets hurt and some people will get sexually aroused.  ;D

You can find a lot of videos on yt regarding this annual festival from several years back up to the present.

As for getting hurt, I guess it's possible, but there are "referees," if you want to call them that, that stop the fights before they go too far.  As a matter of fact, I would like to see them let the girls fight a little longer, but that's just my opinion.

Much as I would hate to see a lady hurt I think women can fight hard without doing serious damage.  These contests can be much of a muchness,  interesting though they are.  The really interesting fights are when two combatants get angry and just as it looks as though they will get to grips with each other they are stopped and kept apart.   This is a cause of much frustration..   the ladies are quite capable of deciding when a contest is over.
