Bar the fact that much of it wasn't fantasy. The king was cruel and also insane which led to a coup that toppled him. While am not aware of a direct record oh him staging such a fight, his sexual proclivities were well known (and exploited by China and the nobles).
Maybe the closing scene in Requiem for a Dream compares to this.
