Erroneous Nickname
« on: October 19, 2024, 10:09:25 PM »
I'm trying to log into chat using the name I logged in to FCF with.  However, it keeps giving me the 'Erroneous Nickname' message, perhaps because I used a space between my first and last name?  If that's the case, does anyone know how to correct it?  I tried changing my name under account settings but that doesn't seem to affect the issue.

An admin has to change your username. The name you can change is just what shows to the forum. So the usual change is to add an underscore in place of the space. You will get a password reset email which will let you get back on the site. And the new username is what will get you into the chat. If you let me know that is cool with you I will make the change. And if the email you registered with is not valid we may have a problem :)
