I haven't thought about Ziggy for awhile ... she was one of my favorite Premier Production girls way back when I bought from them regularly - they were my favorite back then.
Anyone have a current picture of her or know if she still wrestles ? She was 100 % legitimate , only did real competitive wrestling as far as I know and was really good .
I think her last "public" match was against Helen Von Mott is a garden setting. I heard she still practices bjj but only in private.
And she and Premier Productions were also my favourites.
I could see her getting into BJJ but keeping it private ... it always seemed to me that it wasn't about making money with the videos but she really loved it and that she took her wrestling seriously. I only saw her wrestle for Premier ... did she wrestle for other producers ?
Premier had some great regular participants ... Charlene Rink being my ultimate female wrestler. If I could have generated a female wrestler it would have turned out to be Charlene Rink. Loved everything about her ; looks, wrestling style, attitude ... she checked all the boxes for me.
Her match with Pavla is still one of my favorites of all time but liked most of Charlene's and many of Premier's with pro bodybuilders like Christine,Renee, Michelle. etc.
I never saw ziggy wrestle for another producer- this is why this pic intrigues me. I vaguely remember her opponent - thick, strong, one piece suit, Latina (?).
Ziggy was head and shoulders above the other women, especially as she got more experience. She must have had an amateur background, the way she so easily controlled her opponents.
Ahhh, Charlene Rink!

Ziggy was a great wrestler and what made me a fan right away. However, her becoming too good is what had me eventually looking to others for what lit me up watching girls wrestle. Ziggy and girls like Helen ( never a fan of hers ) were serious and their interest was in becoming very accomplished in the skills of wrestling / grappling / BJJ which they did. But for me getting that good at it took away a lot of the sexiness of it , and of course that was my interest in watching. That's where Charlene Rink came into it

- she was good , knew what she was doing but not so good as to turn it into just a technical sporting event ... she was the perfect combination. She never got an inflated ego, either.
I remember how Helen all but ruined the events at one of the conventions when she and Josephine continued to choke the DWW girls when it was clearly stated and they were warned at the start of the event that there were NO CHOKES allowed but they continued anyway, obviously just to show off what they learned despite the rules set at the convention.

What ever happened to Helen ? Does she participate or coach at grappling anymore ? I guess it was too late for her to get into MMA by the time it became popular. I think that's the direction she would have taken if it came around sooner - she had the ego, talent and attitude for it.
