I became hooked like many guys on FvF fighting with Sports Review Wrestling Apartment House Wrestling stories. For a boy in a Catholic Grammar school the pictures of topless/naked ladies with black bars over the naughty bits was the only porn available. This was the early 1970's and Playboy and other magazines were only covered up so that only the titles showed and sold from "behind the counter". Then there were videos, and Cavalier magazine and it was off to the races.
I am not trying to start a bonfire with this message, merely commenting on subjects that have come from the OP.
Some information I have learned from being in the community that I think is relevant to the discussion.
Regarding ladies who fought for Crystal. No I don't know any of them. But I recall a posting somewhere on FCF by a member who said he has been a Crystal cameraman. He also made reference to being at a gathering of some of the former Crystal fighters. I am sorry but I do not recall the poster's FCF name.
Regarding Barb of CWS fame. I do not know here, nor did I ever speak to her directly. I was a fan of the site. "Barb"'s identify has to be the second biggest mystery behind who was D.B.Cooper, It was a fiction of the times, as the internet was in its infancy. I read that an earlier poster did have conversations with her. Trying to discover the identity of someone who has chosen to remain hidden is absolutely wrong, However I do wish there was a way for this community to convey our appreciation for bringing out hobby into the sunshine. Her VV group continues on Fetlife, but there is no moderator, The last two ladies who ran herd on the group, hung up their panties, retired from fighting, and left Fet entirely. I was fortunate to have had a message based relationship with one of them before she left the game. I do not recall asking her about Barb's identity but in general I think other women established the Fetlife Group and may have never actually known Barb IRL.
Just a minor note, another early star of FvF fighting, Venus DeLight has come out of retirement and did at least one match for JMR in 2024. So as far as women leaving the business, one should never say never.
