Searching for a fight involving a guy watching his dream girl get destroyed

Pardon the scarce details, I'm trying to remember/find a fight where a guy went with his dad to a tournament of some kind. There he sees a girl he really likes and then watches, sadly, as she gets utterly demolished by her opponent.
