Somewhat off topic, but you made me think of movie remakes that had catfights.  There aren't many, but I can think of four off-hand:  The Women which was remade as The Weaker Sex; Destry Rides Again which was remade as Destry and Frenchie;Reform School Girl (remake had the same title), and The Loves of Carmenwith a modern and ethnic remake: Carmen Jones

IMO, there was no pattern as to which fight was the better.  The fight in The Weaker Sex was far superior to the one in The Women.  All three in the Destry movies were classic.  The original Reform School Girl fight was much better than the one in the remake, and both Carmen fights were outstanding.

I'd have loved any of the above (but especially FRWL) with Kate Beckinsale

Coincidentally, Kate Beckinsale was already in a catfight of a remake, fighting against Jessica Biel in the 2012 remake of Total Recall.  A 1990 film whose catfight featured Sharon Stone vs Rachel Ticotin.
