Poll Fight How do I Know
« on: February 29, 2012, 01:50:59 PM »
I am interesting in putting up a few polls on the sight. I have contacted a few ladies to get their permission to use them, but haven't heard back from more than one of them. How do I go about making sure I am correctly contacting them so I can make sure I knwo when they reply yes or no to using them in my poll. I am not the most knoweldgable about the workings of this sight, but I do believe in doing things right.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Outside of what Jolene suggested there is the basics of checking when they were last on (sounds simple but seen more than a few call out a person for a week when the other person never signed on) and making sure when you ask permission let them know that saying no isn't going to hurt your feelings. Sometimes people get this weird idea that silence is somehow better than a straight answer. And if you or someone you trust is a chat person, if you see the person in question they could always be asked there.

Jolene and Nutmeg78,

Thank you both for your suggestions ande advice. It is greatly appreciated. I am not the most savey person when it comes to this board or communicating on line.

I will try both of your suggestions. I didn't think about someone thinking it might offend me for them to say no to my request.
