I've seen this match, and I agree with all the good things Rich has to say about it.
I posted a comment about the producer in another thread. Here it is:
Freshfite are a good company, the only wrestling/grappling oriented producer I still buy from on a regular basis, being more into catfights nowadays than fem/fem wrestling.
The producer himself described his matches as MMA crossed with catfighting, which sums them up nicely. Hair pulling is allowed, and some matches also have slapping and body punching, but not "full force", which suits me fine.
Catfight fans like me will find something to enjoy in most of these fights, eg, the very attractive girls! Fans of unscripted fem/fem wrestling will love them. And, with the buy one get one free offer they seem to have going most of the time, they are great value for money.
Re some of Rich's criticisms: Since they began using FB to give info about the fights and fighters, the main site has become nothing more than a downloads catalogue with a short description of each match. They stopped updating the girls photos and win - loss records quite a while back. I agree, FB is always a bit hit and miss.
Using Firefox with Ubuntu as my operating system, downloading is simplicity itself. I just right click the link, "save as", verify password, and the download begins. With firefox in Windows, it was a little more complicated. After verifying my pass word, the video would immediately begin to stream, and I needed a download helper to save it.
I also could do without the pro wrestling type nonsense!
Rich's final criticism, comparing Freshfite to ECC, is very apt.
The Freshfite producer is an MMA coach. He trains the girls he films himself, which is how they learn all the BJJ type moves. And most, I'm sure, will have sparred each other before the actual match. This does make for physically intense and eventful fights, but is a double edged sword, in my opinion.
Sammie vs Karma was a great little scrap. The girls looked fantastic and gave it absolutely everything they had. But still, it was a submission grappling match, a test of skill and gym fitness, rather than a "fight" so defeat didn't hurt the losers pride or have any emotional effect upon her whatsoever.
This is not the case in the best ECC fights - the ones which pitch two untrained ladies who have never clapped eyes on each other before straight into a real catfight, with feminine pride at stake and every submission conceded hurting the girl who has to give up emotionally, as well as physically.
That approach, when it works, produces fights with an emotional edge and intensity you are never going to get from girls who train and spar together. It also, inevitably, throws up the odd damp squib. The firecracker which fizzles a lot but never actually explodes.
The Freshfite approach doesn't throw up any damp sqibs. But it doesn't produce fights with the genuine animosity of the best ECC fights either. C'est la vie!
