Hi folks
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread but I decided to put it here as I figure that females who are looking to get involved in catfights/people who are expressing interests to put together fights post here.
I'm based in the UK and for a while now have been dreaming about producing a catfight. In the past I haven't had the financial means to do it but now I do. The problem is - I have no clue where to start!
The kind of fight I want to put together is a competitive catfight in a very similar style to East Coast Cats - that kind of level of aggression (rather than say face punching, bleeding like Crystal Films), a catfight (sure, where chokes, scissors etc can be used but notan mma or wrestling focused fight like, say, Fresh Fite) and a competitive one at that.
Potential catfighters here (though based on what I've read in this section of the forum about fakes/posers I doubt there are many!) may or may not be happy to know that it won't be in the nude - I feel that filming nude fighting may cause extra issues, potential legal problems and put some girls off. However, I'm a bit bored of seeing the same old fight from every company in lingerie so my initial thought is to do it in sexy outfits - uniforms, air hostess outfits, office attire, cheerleader, jeans etc - whatever.
But as I said I have no clue where to start and here are some questions I have (if UK people could particularly give their 2 cents to some of the UK centric issues e.g. legal stuff that'd be great):
1. Filming - I've had very low level experience with filming but am by no means a pro. I watch things like Fighting Dolls where the filming quality is clearly very professional - high quality, lots of angles. Then I watch another extreme like Catfight Britain/Bitchfight - where the filming quality isn't great. In a way sometimes the Bitchfight thing adds to the fight - where Fighting Dolls or Foxy's insanely great filming puts across the fight as a "put together" film production, Bitchfight's filming adds to a gritty, real fight. The trouble with the latter is that recently sometimes the resolution has been terrible. So - now that my ramblings are over, I guess what I am asking is can one person film it (say in a hotel room/bed setting), how difficult is it and what's a decent camera to use for a fair price?
2. Models/Girls - this is the obvious one - where do I get them from? 2 years ago I posted in this or Dio's forum as I had a business partner who was willing to go 50/50 with me on this venture. Originally it was going to be my ex-girlfriend Lauren who was going to do it but when it came down to it and she saw some of the vids I had she really wasn't realistically up for a competitive catfight. So I posted on this forum and got so many bogus replies. But one or two girls contacted me and it all fell through. So where's the best place to find them? I saw a user michaelrap just filmed his first fight, ehre in the UK, and used pro models. Ideally I'd like to get models, low level ones of course, and get them to do it - you always get the sense that they're naturally bitchy and competitive and prone to rivalry, and looking at East Coast Cats' fights before ECC 60 and beyond, that formula worked well. That being said - I don't know where to look for Models in the UK who may fight and how much they'd cost. Alternatively, I've seen people saying "post on Craigslist" but wonder how legal that is - an advert on a huge advertising website saying "looking for 2 girls willing to fight for money" seems extremely dodgy! Anyway - suggestions welcome...
3. Legal - perhaps most importantly, this is the thing putting me off. I won't reveal my career but I CAN say it's a City of London Corporate career. Any kind of legal infraction, nonetheless one involving putting together and selling women fighting, is likely to end that career. So my premier question is - to LEGITIMATELY film, put together, organise and recruit girls for real catfights in the UK, what legal loopholes do you have to jump through - is it just a case of getting signed consents from them or are there statutory requirements? If something goes wrong (e.g. a girl gets upset, a girl gets injured, nudity is shown, someone finds out and reports it etc) - are the legal implications CIVIL (i.e. a lawsuit from an injured/aggrieved party) or CRIMINAL? What I'm getting at is is there anyway to get a criminal record of this? Then my second question - what legal hoops do you have to jump through to SELL said videos?
Thanks for your time - this may all seem incredibly noobish but it's probably worth your while - unlike many on forums, I am 100% serious - if I get sufficient comfort of the legal side of things and knowledge of where to start re production, I WILL do this.
Thanks
