The strategy formulated by Jennifer and Emma was as simple as it was brilliant: Divide and conquer. Their every effort was extended toward making sure that Hayden, who started the match for her team, had no chance to tag out to Scarlett. Thus isolated, Panettiere, in spite of her tremendous ring skills, was rapidly worn down by her opponents. Lawrence and Stone worked with a precision that belied the fact that this was their very first time working in the ring together, tagging in and out to punish Hayden and taunt Scarlett, who was nearly apoplectic as she stood on the ring apron, frantic to save her partner and get in on the fight.
Fifteen minutes into the match, as Jen and Emma hung the badly battered blonde upside down in their corner in a Tree of Woe, Johansson finally had enough and she leapt between the ropes and rushed to rescue Hayden. However, the referee intercepted her, physically restraining Scarlett from getting any closer. As she and the zebra heatedly argued, Lawrence saw an opportunity and she dashed toward her unsuspecting rival. Nailing Scarlett with a clothesline, she sends her down onto her back in a daze. "Here, let me help you with that," she tells the ref with a cheeky grin, using her foot to roll Johansson over and over until she shoves her out of the ring. Scarlett crashes to the arena floor with a pained groan.
Meanwhile, Emma had been making good use of the referee's distraction my slipping into the ring herself and pressing the sole of her boot against the throat of the upside down Hayden, cruelly choking her. The official finally turns his attention back to the match and, taking note of the blatant cheating, not only commands Stone to cease and desist, but also orders that Panettiere be freed from the corner. Grudgingly, Jen and Emma comply, but all the while their minds are awhirl with new tortures they can inflict upon the embattled blonde.
But while Hayden may be hapless, she is not yet helpless. Suddenly bursting to life, she scrambles on all fours between Lawrence's legs, crawling quickly across the length of the ring until she reaches her own corner, where her partner is just herself climbing back up to the apron. Jennifer and Emma, each chasing after their supposed victim, are able to each grab an ankle, but with an outstretched arm Hayden is able to brush fingertips with Scarlett.
Eyes blazing with fury, Johansson erupts into the ring, hurtling herself toward her foes and nailing each simultaneously with clotheslines. Landing hard on the deck, Emma makes the most of the fact that she isn't the legal member of her team to roll out of the ring to safety, leaving Jennifer to deal with the enraged blonde. Lawrence tries to rise, but is instead brought upright by a painful yank of her hair, only to be returned painfully to the mat courtesy of a bodyslam.
Fully fresh and brimming with adrenalin-fueled energy, Scarlett will not be denied as she unleashes a blizzard of stomps, punches, twists, kicks and smashes to her larger nemesis. Reeling badly, Jen is soon reduced to offering barely more than token resistance to the onslaught. Attempts to tag out to her partner are met by Emma finding reasons to be "distracted" and not paying attention, thus failing to meet the offered hand; having been Scarlett's tag partner until recently, Stone knew better than to get in the way of one of the Scandanavian beauty's berserker rages.
A Boston Crab finally rings down the curtain on the battle, as the agonized Jennifer...who held out far longer than most...finally frantically slapped her palm to the mat and shrieked "I GIVE! I GIVE!" With the roll of the bell, Hayden limps into the ring and hugs her new partner, then the pair allow the ref to raise their arms in victory, as Lawrence painfully crawls from the ring, silently vowing revenge.
