Contact the owner of the site. If there is an opening one, he will let you know.

But be careful what you wish for!  You just might get it!  You have to have very thick skin if you want to become a moderator and very willing to accept that you are going to make some people angry no matter what you do. 

We have a very good group of moderators now and I do not know if there is an opening, but as Meg said, ask the owner.
