giving a savage beating to someone helpless
« on: March 29, 2015, 06:42:41 PM »
I realize this is cyberland and any thing is fair game.  That being said it is hard for me to not bring into the cyber world my basic instincts but that is me. I feel there is some thing disturbing about beating someone senseless when they are on their knees and more or less unable to protect themselves. Especially so after taking a low blow that renders them helpless. It has happened twice now. Yes it is cyber and just pretend yet it is disturbing. Myself if a person goes down I will step back and let them recover to continue if possible but that is me. Plus I don't cheer and celebrate and crow about it.  Am I wrong for thinking this way?
NO I don't want to wrestle you in real life period.

My two cents on this: yes this is cyber-land and any thing goes. That tends to bring out the worst in all of us. The fact that your ethics and morals bleed over into cyber-land is not a bad thing, rather a statement of who you are. Cyber-land is supposed to be about fun for both parties in a conflict. The fact that it disturbs you to the point of writing about it shows it is not fun for you. You can't impart your values into others so when their behavior upsets and disturbs you there is nothing you can do. The only thing you can do is not have further match ups with these individuals since it is not fun for you any more. I hope a couple bad experiences doesn't spoil cyber-land for you.
You have to love the ones who are hot to cyber trot until you get them in a cyber situation where they are losing then poof!

That's a very interesting question. I don't cyber, I just watch, especially old school pro wrestling, where women like Ronda Singh, Moolah, Judy Martin etc., etc. made a living "doing" that to their poor opponents. To be honest, this type of wrestling was great to watch.

To me it doesn't seem like a wrestling scene, more like a boxing or fist fight one. If that is the case then the viewpoint would be valid. If a mixed martial arts scene it would not be valid as you have the ground and pound in effect. If it is disturbing then its not fun and take that opponent off your list of people you want to fight.  ;D

There is no right or wrong about this.

If you feel its that disturbing, then whoever you were in the fight with, you need to tell them how you felt and either they change their style or make a rule that you cant do that. I have to agree with the others who wrote, if you cant agree and it becomes more of a hassle than fun, you shouldn't fight those people. Move on to others that share your ideas on what a cyber fight entails.

Personally I like the idea better of letting them get up, this way you have the opportunity to knock their ass down again. You might try to celebrate a little, gives ya the motivation to knock them down again.  ;D
