Aluna Francis, of the electro pop duo AlunaGeorge, starred at Rock in Rio 2015, just before
Katy Perry performed her big show on the same evening.
Aluna was so enthusiastic about her own music that she didn't stick to the time schedule and made Katy go onstage later than announced, very much to the prismatic pop singer's annoyance.
After her show, Katy bitched about Aluna being 'an inconsiderate diva', which, vice versa, angered Aluna.
Aluna suddenly appeared backstage in front of Katy, challenging her rival to apologize to her.
Katy expressed her surprise at Aluna's demand,
'If anybody has a reason to apologize it's you, girl, for delaying me with your self indulgence!'Aluna stood next to Katy sitting in her chair where she was taking off some of the show's heavy makeup. She glared at her and replied,
'What does it matter if they hear you howling and screaming a bit later? At least they had a few more minutes of listening to a real singer!' At that point, Katy started being furious about the other woman's impertinence. She got up quickly, to face Aluna eye to eye, which, however, proved difficult, the rival singer standing four inches taller than her.
'You conceited, stupid bitch!' she hissed.
'Do you seriously think you can even compare yourself to me? You're a talentless, awkward upstart, nothing else!'Aluna was furious, too, at that point of time. She glared at Katy more intensely for a second, then raised her arm and slapped her face hard.
Katy, in shock only for a small moment, quickly recovered to slap her back.
For seconds, Katy looked up at the tall girl wondering if she should just keep hitting her.
'You wanna fight, you skinny beanstalk? Huh? Show me if you've got what it takes, come on, fight me!' Aluna showed off her extraordinarily long arms and challenged Katy to compare hers to them. She stooped to bring her shoulder's level down to Katy's, and when Katy lined up her arm with Aluna's her rival laughed at how short it was next to hers. Katy, however, unimpressed and convinced that in a fight she was at a physical advantage over the other woman, told her,
'I'll break those twigs of yours like matchsticks if I have to!' 'You really wanna see who's got the bigger biceps?' Aluna asked, mocking Katy; and the two raised their arms to flex their muscles.
'See, I've got the better guns!' Aluna said.
'Did you take too many drugs?' Katy replied.
'Those little things aren't even half of mine!' Aluna:
You bitch, I'll teach you a lesson right now!'Katy:
'In your wildest dreams! I can squash you like a louse! Actually, you look more like a cockroach!'Then, everything happened quickly - Aluna, now determined to settle things with Katy bodily, grabbed her hair and swung her around to let her crash into the table with makeup accessories; Katy, however, grabbed hold of Aluna's hair and pulled her down with her. The two women crashed to the floor, tumbling and rolling, while keeping their fingers locked tightly in each other's hair.
The fight now had fully erupted, with both Katy and Aluna grunting and groaning, screaming in pain every time the enemy tore out a big strand of hair, delivering slaps to their faces so hard that they sounded like clapping hands, and trying to wrap their legs around each other's bodies to squeeze the opponent into submission...
