Edy Williams (32) vs Linda Evans (37) - On paper these are two physically well matched fighters. The major difference seems to be some intangible in that Linda finds a way to win most of the time and Edy has had trouble turning her advantage over her opponent into a win. Edy really had Linda in trouble at the start of this fight. But Linda looked for openings and took advantage of the slightest of mistakes or misjudgment by Edy. Edy didn't put Linda away when she had the chance and right now Linda has gained the advantage. The fight is still close enough that Edy could come back although Linda has to be favored at this point since she has shown she knows how to keep a lead. Look for Edy to turn up the nastiness to gain the advantage again.
Tuesday Weld (31) vs Luciana Paluzzi (33) - The odds said that the fiery redheaded Italian sexpot would wipe the floor with the little sweet blonde. However Tuesday has surprised the experts and Luciana. She has been a whirlwind of action, getting in her licks while staying out of Luciana's clutches. Luciana still has a slight advantage but Tuesday is giving her a very even fight. Can Tuesday keep up her energetic attack or will she tire and fall victim to Luciana?
Nancy Kwan (30) vs Diane McBain (34) - It is rumored than Nancy is schooled in the martial arts, presumably because she is from the East. But she is on the tiny side and this has been a detriment in her previous fights. Diane is rumored to be schooled in street fighting and is supposed to have a very mean, nasty temper. My expectations were than Diane would have an easy time with Nancy. Such has not been the case. Nancy has landed some well placed kicks which have weakened Diane, kept her off balance, and from getting in close to Nancy where she can put her claws to use. Diane has landed her own blows, however, and her attacks have been slightly more effective. But the fight is close and Nancy could disable Diane if she can get one of her lovely legs slammed between Diane's legs.
Adrienne Barbeau (34) vs Farrah Fawcett (35) - Adrienne came out lording her tits over the "titless, skinny blonde bitch" (her words). She got Farrah on her back and was giving the the "tit work over", both on her face and then mangling Farrah's much smaller breasts. When Adrienne slid down to bite Farrah's breasts, Farrah grabbed her by the hair and held her while she rammed her very large, hard nipples into Adrienne's eyes. Thus blinded, Farrah was able to roll her off her and to get to her feet. Adrienne has gotten to her feet also but with watery eyes. The two are now circling, being cautions. Farrah is wary because of the ease that Adrienne got her down the first time. Adrienne is cautious because her vision is blurry through her watery eyes.
Lindsay Wagner (31) vs Annette Funicello (34) - I did not see this one coming. In spite of their records I figure the much longer reach of Lindsay and what I thought of her better fitness would allow Lindsay to have a big advantage in a "straight-forward hairpulling, face-slapping and scratching catfight" to quote Vasago. Barbosa picked Annette to win after a long fight. Right now Annette has shown barbosa to be on the money. The fight is close but Annette has been able to get inside of Lindsay and has gotten in the better slaps, better clawing, and harder hairpulling to my chagrin. If she keeps it up she will go on to victory. If Lindsay has more stamina she could tire the softer Annette out and take over. Stay tuned to this one. Another good fight where I didn't expect it.
Barbara Bach (21) vs Sybil Danning (43) - Sybil is shown why she is currently number one much to Elke Sommer's consternation. There are those that argue Sybil Danning and Pam Grier are the two most cruelest fighters in this tournament with each trying to show which is crueler. One thing for sure, Sybil does not let up or take it easy when she comes across a much weaker opponent. She uses her viciousness to beat the toughest of opponents. But even when she comes across a completely over matched foe she uses her cruelty to practice and hone her skills to get even better. At the moment she is using Barbara to develop and practice new holds and new methods of torture. She will not let Barbara submit so that she many continue to experiment. Barbara's only hope is if Sybil gets careless and makes a fatal mistake. But such is not likely to happen.
Stefanie Powers (33) vs Suzanne Somers (36) - A back and forth even fight with a slight advantage having been gained by Miss Thigh Master. The fight is quite even right now. Suzanne has been unable to trap the faster, wilier Stefanie between her thighs. In fact at the onset of the fight the quick Stefanie had Suzanne bewildered. Suzanne seemed to be clutching at air while Stefanie got in some good belly punches to slow Suzanne up even more. Suzanne got more and more frustrated as Joyce DeWitt was in the audience making fun of her futile attempts. It looked like Stefanie was on her way to her first victory. But alas, Stefanie could not befuddle Suzanne all the time. Suzanne hits harder than Stefanie if not as much. She has gotten in some blows that have rocked Stefanie. Can Suzanne move in on the slightly dazed Stefanie and KO her or crush her between or thighs or will Stefanie once again dazzle Suzanne with her moves?
Jaclyn Smith (28) vs Victoria Principal (41) - the two women are a close physical match up. They have gone toe to toe, tit to tit in a classic female catfight. Two former models with long, slender legs that they use to try and trip up the other and then wrap around the others legs. Victoria has shown she is the more skilled catfighter. She gets Jaclyn down and under her most of the time. If Jaclyn manages to escape it is not soon before she is once again in Victoria's clutches and buried beneath her. Jaclyn has mounted an all out attack on Victoria's red hair to try for a comeback. But so far Victoria has shown that Jaclyn is second banana to her even in the hairpulling department.
